The Bear star Ebon Moss-Bachrach described his love for Taylor Swift and her track Love Story. The Emmy Award-winning actor had to sing along to the track in the seventh episode of the second season of the FX show.

In an interview with The Guardian published on Wednesday, June 19, the actor said that after that particular scene, the lyrics to the track were "burned" into his head and heart. Ebon Moss-Bachrach thought that Swift was "great" alluding to the singer's songwriting abilities, love for Rhode Island, and cats. As for Swift's Love Story, the actor said:

"I don’t think I’ll ever get those lyrics out of me."

"I think she’s probably a great songwriter" Ebon Moss-Bachrach on Taylor Swift

The Bear star Ebon Moss-Bachrach recently sat down with The Guardian for an interview in which he opened up about his work on the FX show. One particular episode of the second season of the show titled Forks saw the actor put on one hell of a display of his acting prowess.

The episode also saw Ebon Moss-Bachrach's character Richie singing along to Taylor Swift's 2008 track Love Story from her second studio album Fearless. The actor remarked that the singing scene took "some rehearsal". As mentioned above Ebon Moss-Bachrach does not think that he'd ever forget the lyrics to the track. The actor explained to The Guardian:

"My daughters aren’t really Swifties, for whatever reason. I think she’s probably a great songwriter, she’s a cat lover, I think she likes Rhode Island, so in my book, she’s great. I did have to have some of the lyrics right next to me, but now they’re burned into my heart and burned into my head."

The actor even shouted out Taylor Swift after winning the Critics' Choice Award in January. In Forks, Jeremy Allen White's Carmy sends Ebon Moss-Bachrach's Richie to train at an upscale fine dining restaurant called Ever where his only job was to polish Forks. The restaurant sees the complete evolution of the character from an angry shell of a human being to a person with actual self-worth.

Towards the end of the episode, Ebon Moss-Bachrach's character speeds through the Chicago nightscape while singing along to Taylor Swift's Love Story. Richie barely kept up to the track as he sang:

"Romeo, save me, they're trying to tell me how to feel/ This love is difficult, but it's real/ Don't be afraid, we'll make it out of this mess/ It's a love story, baby, just say, "Yes","

The track wasn't done yet, as it continued:

" "Marry me, Juliet, you'll never have to be alone/ I love you and that's all I really know/ I talked to your dad, go pick out a white dress/ It's a love story, baby, just say 'Yes'/ 'Cause we were both young when I first saw you,"

Elsewhere in his interview with The Guardian, Ebon Moss-Bachrach described winning the 2023 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series as one of the "most joyful nights" of his life. However, the actor also noted that it "stressed" him out. He explained:

"We go back to make season three and we’ve won a bunch of awards, you start to feel like: ‘Oh, f**k.’ I mean, then you really don’t want to be discovered to be a fraud. And then there’s pressure ..."

Not that the actor felt like he needed to win another Emmy but he felt like it meant so much more to people than he ever thought it would. The actor elaborated:

"I just want people to not feel let down by the thing. I’ve had so many beautiful interactions with people that have been really moved in a way that it sort of inspired me about the power of telling a story or the power of making a show or making a piece of art. It’s really invigorated me and renewed my faith in my job."

The highly-anticipated third season of The Bear will premiere on June 27, 2024, on FX on Hulu. The show is also internationally available on Disney +.
