Peter Beckett, Laura Letts-Beckett's husband was found guilty in 2017 and charged with first-degree murder. Peter received a sentence of 25 years behind bars for this crime. However, the charges against him were dropped in 2021, when he appealed his conviction, after which he was set free.
In 2010, Laura passed away, leaving her family devastated, and they are still grieving 14 years later. According to reports, her family lives in Alberta, Canada.

Park Letts and Beth Letts are Laura's parents, who live in Alberta at the moment, as per reports. Scott Letts, Laura Letts-Beckett's brother, who at present is in the livestock business and runs Letts Farms, which is also located in Alberta. The Letts Farms' description and operations, as per their official webpage reads:
"We are a family-run farm and are privileged to live and raise our family on the Letts’ homestead of 1904. This 5th generation farm is nestled along the Pembina River NW of Westlock...Alongside the cattle we also grain farm, growing wheat...sunflowers. We also enjoy raising heritage chickens, Pembroke Welsh Corgis, and Golden Retrievers...."
Scott, who runs Letts Farms now, carrying on the family legacy, is married to Wendy Letts and the couple have two sons- Spencer Letts and Bryan Letts. Bryan is a married man now, who lives with his wife Elli Letts. On the other hand, Spencer graduated in 2023, with a bachelor of science degree ( agriculture.)
Reportedly, Scott Lett and Wendy Letts also have four daughters- Rebecca, Dorothy, Katelyn, and Judy.
Rebecca and Dorthy aren’t married yet, however, their sister Katelyn is married to Caleb Klassen and also has a son named Milo Oliver, who was born in 2024. The other sister Judy is married to Bill Neufeld and reportedly has two sons and a daughter.

This documentary will narrate the entire case of how in 2010, Peter Beckett and Laura Letts-Beckett went fishing, after which Laura drowned in Lake Revelstoke and died. Peter Beckett claimed that he tried to save Laura Letts-Beckett when she fell in the water, but was unable to.
A year after Laura Letts-Beckett's death, Peter was taken into custody, and in 2016, he stood trial, which resulted in a mistrial. In 2017, the jury found him guilty of first-degree murder and sentenced him to 25 years in jail, without parole.
However, Peter maintained his innocence claiming that he didn’t push his wife and it was either suicide or an accident. In 2020, Peter appealed his conviction and got it overturned.
This three-part docuseries will not only replay Laura Letts-Beckett's death, and take a deeper dive into this case but, also show the controversial trial that followed. It will also have interviews with Peter Beckett himself, who will publicly share his side of this nightmarish tale.
