Industry season 3 has been confirmed by Deadline. Per their May 2024 report, the season will premiere on Sunday, August 11 on HBO Max. Industry is a British-produced drama series that focuses on the cutthroat world of finance and the workplace politics of the firm Pierpoint & Co.

The show has a large cast of characters, many of whom have changed between seasons. Thus far, Yasmin, Harper, Gus, Robert and Eric have been the primary characters who have featured in most episodes.

Industry season 3 sees Yasmin, Robert and Eric attempt to make inroads into ethical investing by partnering with the green technology company Lumi, led by Henry Muck (Kit Harrington) on their Initial Public Offering.

Meanwhile, Harper has left Pierpoint but continues her career in finance by partnering with a portfolio manager at FutureDawn named Petra Koenig.

The main cast that will be returning for Industry season 3 is as follows:

  • Marisa Abela as Yasmin Kara-Hanani, a polyglot from a wealthy family who starts out working at the Foreign Exchange (FX) desk at Pierpoint.
  • My'hala Herrold as Harper Stern, who hails from Birmingham, New York, and initially works at the Cross Product Sales (CPS) desk.
  • David Johnsson as Augustus "Gus" Sackey, who's a graduate from Eton College and Oxford and initially worked at the Investment Banking Desk before transferring to CPS.
  • Harry Lawtey as Robert Spearing, an Oxford graduate from a Welsh working-class background who initially works at the CPS desk.
  • Kit Harrington as Henry Muck, the head of green technology company Lumi.
  • Sarah Goldberg as Petra Koenig, a portfolio manager for FutureDawn.
  • Conor MacNeil as Kenny Kilbane, the VP of the FX desk at Pierpoint.
  • Sagar Radia as Rishi Ramdani, an associate at the CPS desk.
  • Indy Lewis as Venetia Berens, a recruit under Yasmin at the FX desk.
  • Adam Levy as Yasmin's father, Charles Hanani, who was introduced in season 2.
  • Sarah Parish as Nicole Craig, a Pierpoint client who has a history of sexually inappropriate behavior.
  • Trevor White as Bill Adler, who's the global head of FICC (Fixed Income CLeaning Corporation) in Pierpoint.
  • Elena Saurel as Anna Gearing, who was introduced in season 2 as the head of FutureDawn Partners.
  • Miriam Petche as Sweetpea Golightly.
  • Andrew Cavill as Lord Norton.
  • Roger Barclay as Otto Mostyn.
  • Fiona Button as Denise Oldroyd.
  • Fady Elsayed as Ali El Mansour.

What the critics say about Industry

Industry has been well-received as a look into the brutal world of finance professionals. The first season received a 76% "Fresh" rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 38 reviews, while the second season got an even higher 96% rating based on 25 reviews.

A Vanity Fair review of the series written by Joy Press called the first reason a cross between Succession and Euphoria, with a dash of Skins thrown in the mix. As for the show as a whole, she made her feelings clear in her opening sentence:

"Who knew it was possible to take so much pleasure in watching people banter and brawl and have panic attacks over stuff that means absolutely nothing to you?"

Industry season 3 will be streaming on HBO Max in the United States and will air on BBC One in the United Kingdom. Viewers in India can stream Industry season 3 on JioCinema Premium.
