Industry Season 3 premiered on August 11, 2024. The story continues from the last season, which saw the return of Pierpoint traders to the office after the Covid lockdown. The season saw Harper continue to work from home but lands hedge fund boss Jesse Bloom as a client, which saves her job.

Furthermore, the events of the season included Rob, who was newly sober, owning his set of troubles with confidence, while Yas leveraged family connections to bring in business but risked turning into a boss she detested. We also saw Jobless Gus tutor the son of new client Bloom and have an affair with him.

Industry Season 3 premiere sees a surge in viewership

HBO's finance drama Industry premiered to a strong start, drawing in 300,000 viewers across HBO and Max. This number represents a 60% increase from the Season 2 premiere and an 88% jump from the series debut.

Notably, the viewership spike comes as Industry Season 3 moves to the highly sought-after Sunday night timeslot. This was previously occupied by show giants like House of the Dragon. Moreover, the show's third season began after a highly dramatic Season 2 finale, where the protagonist Harper Stern was fired from Pierpoint.

The increased viewership also benefited from a tenfold rise in interest in Seasons 1 and 2 leading up to the Season 3 launch. Despite being overshadowed by other HBO series, such as Barry, which garnered 710,000 viewers per various reports for its Season 4 premiere, Industry Season 3 has shown steady growth. Moreover, it may continue attracting more viewers as its new timeslot helps build buzz.

Industry is a gripping drama set in the driven world of corporate finance, focusing on employees' lives at a prestigious London investment bank, Pierpoint & Co. The series began by following a group of new hires as they navigated the financial industry's intense pressures and ethical dilemmas.

Now, in its third season, the story will shift its focus to ethical investment, with the central characters Yasmin, Harper, and Robert. Notably, these characters will get involved in the high-stakes IPO of a green company named Lumi. This season also follows Harper's struggle to regain her place in the financial world after being ousted from Pierpoint, finding a new ally in Petra Koenig as she seeks redemption.

Industry Season 3 is available to watch on HBO Max.
