The first two episodes of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew pick up on the planet At Attin. There, viewers follow Wim, a kid in school who has greater aspirations than just being on his planet. However, when he misses his school bus for an important exam, he uses a hoverbike to make it to class on time but falls into a ditch. There he discovers something mysterious but is taken in by his school authorities.
In detention, Wim meets Fern, another troublemaker who likes racing. There Fern learns that Wim made a discovery in a ditch. Wim then seeks out his friend Neel and asks for his help to help him dig up what he discovered. However, when they reach there, they find that Fern and her friend KB are already digging up the mysterious find already. They then decide to help each other and discover that it is a ship hidden underneath the dirt.
The ship accidentally gets activated and the kids are taken into space. Panicking, they discover that it is a pirate ship when the robot SM-33 gets activated. Fern declares herself as the captain and asks the robot for help. However, he doesn't know where At Attin is and takes them to a pirate spaceport to ask for directions. Unfortunately, no one there knows where At Attin is as well.
It is soon revealed that At Attin is actually a planet that consists of hidden treasure and is just a myth. The pirates get suspicious and arrest the kids. In jail, the kids meet a mysterious Force user who decides to help them if they will help him. The Force user is revealed to be Jude Law's Jod Na Nawood.
