On April 17, 2024, Netflix users encountered the error message "Cannot play title. Please try again later" when the Love Is Blind reunion was set to go live at 5 p.m. PT. Due to technical issues, including Netflix Error HTP-900 and HTP-998, which indicate network connectivity problems, the program was not broadcast as planned. Netflix later apologized on their official X account for the disruption.

“To everyone who stayed up late, woke up early, gave up their Sunday afternoon… we are incredibly sorry that the Love is Blind Live Reunion did not turn out as we had planned. We're filming it now and we'll have it on Netflix as soon as humanly possible. Again, thank you and sorry,” reads the apology post by Netflix on X.

The users might still be facing similar issues today (August 20, 2024), that would not allow them to continue watching some specific shows and movies on the platform. Several queries keep rising on Reddit every other day about the dysfunction of the platform, in such cases here are some things that the users must keep in mind.

Why can't you watch some titles on Netflix?

Users might see the error "This title is not available to watch instantly." This error often occurs due to issues with data stored on the device. One can also check their device's permission settings. If a user is using a TV, they can try restarting the app or logging out of the Netflix account and then logging back in.

If it is an Android phone or tablet and iPhone or iPad, the user may look for updates if any, or re-login the account. In the cases when the user is browsing on the computer, they may try to update the web browser or follow the same re-login process.

How to fix 'We're having trouble playing this title right now' error

If the users see any text that says 'We're having trouble playing this title right now' while trying to use Netflix, particularly with any show or movie, this happens because of network issues that stop the user’s device from reaching out to the app services.

To fix this problem users can follow some simple steps, that depend on the kind of devices they must be using.

First thing first, identify if this is a problem with just one show or with the entire app. Once identified, the user may try to restart the device. These two steps are the most common steps, irrespective of what device the user may be using. With the Chromecast, these are the only two solutions they may follow.

If it is an Xbox 360, then the user may try uninstalling and reinstalling the app, clear the system cache, or delete the saved data on the platform in that device. The users can follow the same first two steps as Xbox 360 in Xbox One and lastly troubleshoot the hardware connection.

However, the solution for this is yet to be rectified for other devices, but in cases where the app still doesn’t respond, the users can copy-paste the message or the error code shown on their screens, on the Netflix Help Center website to know about the problem more in-depth or can call the customer helpline for further assistance.
