Bridgerton fame Hannah Dodd admitted in a recent interview with Town & Country that she initially felt like an imposter on the sets and it took her some time to ease into the role of Francesca.
In the interview published on May 19, 2024, Dodd said:
"It was pretty scary. I was really terrified!"
She added:
"It is like you've stepped into your TV screen—it was intimidating. I had the worst imposter syndrome I've ever experienced in my entire life. For the first few weeks of filming, I was thinking constantly, somebody's going to find out that I'm not meant to be here!...I pulled myself together by episode eight at least!"

Dodd further explained how she felt intimidated at first and how it took her eight episodes to ease into the whole thing.
For the unversed, Hannah appeared in the latest season of Bridgerton, which dropped its first half on May 16, 2024, with the second half slated to release on June 13, 2024. Among the new additions to the cast, no one caught the eye as much as Hannah Dodd in the role of Francesca Bridgerton, the sixth child in the family. She replaced actress Ruby Stokes in the series.

Francesca in Bridgerton marks Hannah Dodd's breakout role after her appearances in Enola Holmes and Find Me in Paris. Going into her first major role in such a hit franchise with a massive fan following, Dodd recalled being on the set in her latest interview:
"It's the weirdest feeling, walking around a set that you've watched on TV and meeting these people who have become super successful."
Dodd went on to credit her castmates for helping her get over this feeling. She added:
"Laughter can really disperse a lot of anxious energy, and they were massively supportive. The kindest cast and crew scooped me up, and as Francesca grew in confidence, I was getting used to being there."
With that, she went on to deliver a captivating performance as the sixth Bridgerton child. Francesca's budding romance with John Stirling, the Earl of Kilmartin (played by Victor Alli), also became a source of a lot of intrigue in the show.
The second part of Bridgerton season 3 will continue to explore Hannah Dodd's character when it premieres with the other four episodes in June 2024.

Bridgerton season 3 of the acclaimed historical romance television series premiered in two parts for the first time since its inception back in December 2020. Based on the book series by Julia Quinn, the series follows the many sets of romances between the members of the eponymous fictional family and young marriageable nobility and gentry.
Season 3, in its first four episodes, primarily put a spotlight on Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin's (played by Luke Newton) romance. It also focused on the introduction of Fransesca and John Stirling.
