Black Rabbit is one of the most anticipated upcoming projects on Netflix, featuring powerhouse performances from Jason Bateman and Jude Law. Created by Zach Baylin and Kate Susman, the drama miniseries promises intense sibling drama and dangerous twists set in the heart of New York City. Fans of gripping, character-driven stories eagerly await the release of Black Rabbit, which brings together an impressive cast and creative team.
The series, currently filming in New York, is produced by Netflix in collaboration with Bateman’s production company Aggregate Films and Jude Law’s Riff Raff Entertainment. The synopsis of the show reads,
"When the owner of a New York City hotspot allows his turbulent brother back in his life, he opens the door to escalating dangers that threaten to bring down everything he's built."
What is Black Rabbit about?
The sibling rivalry that drives Black Rabbit also addresses the dangers of not keeping the skeletons in the closet. Jude Law plays Jake Friedken, an owner of an upscale NYC restaurant and nightclub whose life is turned upside down when he decides to reach out to his younger brother Vince, portrayed by Jason Bateman, who happens to be Michael’s off-the-rails brother.
Vince, whose reckless actions had caused so much trouble previously, comes back into the picture, compounding the unaddressed issues in Jake’s life and inviting new threats that endanger everything Jake has been on course to build.
Moreover, the series examines themes of family loyalty, personal redemption, and the cost of forgiveness and second chances. As the story of Vince grows, so do the people and situations that pose risks to Jake and his immediate circle.
