Actress Jenna Ortega has been one of Hollywood's rising stars in recent years. She began her acting career as a child actress and shot to fame in 2022 by playing Wednesday Addams in the gothic comedy-drama series, Wednesday.

Her other television credits include shows like Jane the Virgin, You, Rake, Richie Rich, and Stuck in the Middle, among others. Moreover, she has appeared on the big screen in films such as Scream, Scream VI, Miller's Girl, American Carnage, Winter Spring Summer or Fall, Insidious: Chapter 2, The Fallout, etc.

Like most bonafide celebrities, Ortega is no stranger to going viral for unexpected reasons. The 22-year-old actress first went viral for her electric dance moves as Wednesday in the eponymous show's first season, which released in November 2022. She had a similar experience in September 2024, when she went viral for seemingly eating a kiwi in a rather unusual way in an Instagram video.

The Finestkind actress was seen eating the fruit along with its brown skin, sparking an online debate about the right way to eat a kiwi. One fan had an extreme reaction to the video and commented saying:

"Just got traumatised by the way jenna ortega eats kiwis"

On September 25, 2024, Jenna Ortega posted an Instagram story in which she was seen eating a kiwi along with its skin. People on the internet lost their minds and trolled the actress for her unconventional way of eating the fuzzy brown skin.

Jenna looked cool and comfortable as she took bites of the fruit in the short video. However, her followers were not impressed, with one user calling her a "psychopath."

Moreover, many questioned whether the fruit should be eaten with the skin at all. WebMD notes that the kiwi's brown skin contains high antioxidants like vitamin C and is totally edible. While the thought of eating the skin may feel off-putting to many, research has shown that the skin contains high amounts of dietary fiber and is good for digestive health.

Kiwis are rich in antioxidants and help combat inflammation, provide immune support, and reduce the risk of stroke or heart disease. Moreover, the fruit contains almost 230% of the daily recommended dose of vitamin C.
