DC supervillain Kite Man gets a starring role in the new adult animated black comedy Kite Man: Hell Yeah!, which is scheduled to debut on Max (former HBO Max) on July 18, 2024.
The new show will chronicle the adventures of the titular character, Kite Man, and his relationship with his girlfriend, Golden Glider. Kite Man: Hell Yeah! will also trace the animated couple's journey as they establish a seedy bar in Gotham called Noonan.
The official synopsis of the show reads:
"The adventures of the minor villain Kite Man as he commits crimes to support the purchase of Noonan's, Gotham's seediest dive bar."
Matt Oberg voices the titular character in the pilot season of the animated adventure developed by Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacher for the streaming service. Joining him is an impressive voice cast list, including Stephanie Hsu, Kaley Cuoco, Jonathan Banks, and Keith David.

1) Matt Oberg as Kite Man
Writer, actor, and comedian Matt Oberg, who guest-starred in the hit comedy American Auto, voices Kite Man in the latest Max animated black comedy. He reprises the voice role of the DC supervillain, which he first brought to life in the Harley Quinn TV series, also on Max.
Oberg is best known for his voice-acting in the starring role of Mark Lilly in two seasons of the adult animated sitcom Ugly Americans. He also has a collection of acting roles on TV and film, including Clown, The Bourne Legacy, The Real O'Neals, and Onion SportsDome.
2) Stephanie Hsu as Golden Glider
Stephanie Hsu has been in over 40 different acting projects since she appeared in the 2004 Chinese TV series Dandelion and she will be voicing Golden Glider, the titular character's girlfriend, in the upcoming series.
Her filmography includes The Path and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel TV series and films Joy Ride, Shortcomings, and The Fall Guy. Most prominently, she starred alongside Michelle Yeoh in a dual role for Everything Everywhere All at Once, which earned her an Oscar nod for Best Supporting Actress.
3) Jonathan Banks as Noonan
Veteran actor Jonathan Banks, who has over 180 acting credits, voices Noonan, the original bar owner, in DC's Kite Man: Hell Yeah!
Banks has had several voice-acting gigs over the years, including animated shows Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure, Skylanders Academy, A Tale of Dark & Grimm, and F Is for Family.
His filmography ranges from animated box office hits like Incredibles 2 to crime thrillers like Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, with performances in both earning him several Primetime Emmy nominations.
4) Keith David as Darkseid
Another veteran character actor joining the Kite Man: Hell Yeah! voice cast is Keith David, who has worked in over 370 shows and films. He voices the tyrannical ruler and supervillain Darkseid in the new series.
David isn't new to voice acting as he previously worked on numerous animated series and films like Rick and Morty, Final Space, and Amphibia. Her expansive filmography includes horror mysteries The Seventh Day and Nope and crime dramas Heist 88 and American Fiction.
He also won Primetime Emmys for Jackie Robinson, The War, and Unforgivable Blackness: The Rise and Fall of Jack Johnson.
5) Lance Solomon Reddick as Lex Luthor
John Wick actor Lance Solomon Reddick, who has a collection of over a hundred acting projects in his career, voices the famous DC supervillain Lex Luthor in Kite Man: Hell Yeah!
Reddick has played Charon in four John Wick movies and was also in several action thrillers like White House Down, The Guest, and Angel Has Fallen. Voice acting is also a huge part of his filmography, which includes animated shows and films like Trin: Uprising, Beware the Batman, Castlevania, Batman Unburies, and Paradise PD.
