Kota Factory season 3 premiered on Netflix on June 20, 2024. Directed by Raghav Subbu and Pratish Mehta, this Indian black-and-white series tells the story of Vaibhav and other students who shift to Kota, an educational hub, to prepare for various entrance exams like NEET and JEE.

The series delves deeper into their lives and focuses on their hard work and struggles as they strive to get into prestigious institutes like IIT. As the exams get closer in Kota Factory season 3, Vaibhav and his friends find it difficult to handle the pressure. In addition to focusing on students' problems, the third installment also explores the issues teachers face when they become overly attached to particular students.

Seasons 1 and 2 of Kota Factory were hailed by critics and viewers alike. Created by Saurabh Khanna and Arunabh Kumar, the title has an IMDb rating of 9/10. It stars Jitendra Kumar, Urvi Singh, Mayur More, and Ranjan Raj among others in pivotal roles.


Who stars in Kota Factory season 3?

1) Jitendra Kumar as Jeetu Bhaiya

Jitendra Kumar, the 33-year-old Indian actor has starred in multiple movies and TV shows over the years including Panchayat (2020-present), Chaman Bahaar (2020), Serious Men (2020), and more. In Kota Factory season 3, he reprises his role as Jeetu Bhaiya.

Jeetu Bhaiya is the best physics teacher in Kota, who teaches at Prodigy classes. He is very empathetic towards his students at the beginning of the series and treats their problems as his own.

In season 2 of Kota Factory, he launched a coaching institute named Aimers. In the latest season, he is seen changing professions as he becomes a government employee. The government of Rajasthan allows him to work for them and draft new educational policies that can bring positive reform to the educational system.


2) Mayur More as Vaibhav Pandey

Mayur More is an Indian actor from Mumbai. He has taken on prominent roles in multiple movies and TV shows like Sachin: A Billion Dreams (2017), Kasaai (2019), Jab We Matched (2023), and more. In season 3 of Kota Factory, More reprises his role as Vaibhav Pandey.

Vaibhav is the main protagonist who is an outsider in Kota. In season 1, he joined the top-rated Maheshwari classes but had to go to Prodigy, which was the second best.

In season 3, viewers see Vaibhav work hard to get into IIT. He clears the JEE mains but doesn't qualify for JEE advanced, because of which he opts for another year of preparation. The season highlights Vaibhav's willpower and his determination.


3) Alam Khan as Uday Gupta

Indian actor and dancer Alam Khan has been a part of several movies and TV shows over the course of his career. He has starred in Mahabharat (2013-2014), Haddi (2023), Shake It Up (2013), Laakhon Mein Ek (2017-2019), and more. In Kota Factory season 3, Alam Khan is seen reprising his role as Uday Gupta.

In the series, Uday is not very studious and has come to Kota to fulfill his parents' dream. He is the one who is called whenever others need help. Uday helps Vaibhav and Balmukund Meena throughout the series and acts as a guardian angel for his friends.

In Kota Factory season 3 although he clears the JEE mains, he does not go for JEE advanced because he believes that studies are not his forte. He doesn't wish to prepare, take any further exams, and waste more time.


4) Ahsaas Channa as Shivangi Ranawat

Indian actress Ahsaas Channa has been a part of numerous successful titles including Vaastu Shastra (2004), Phoonk 2 (2010), My Friend Ganesha (2007), Mismatched (2022), Girls Hostel (2018-2022), and more. In Kota Factory season 3, she reprises her role as Shivangi Ranawat.

In the show, Uday's girlfriend Shivangi is a NEET aspirant. She enters to clear her AIIMS while everyone comes to Kota because it is regarded as an IIT hub. It is a common misconception that passing NEET is easier than passing AIIMS, but this is untrue.

Shivangi's character dispels such false notions in the Indian educational system. She proves to the audience that every exam is tough, whether in academics or life.


5) Ranjan Raj as Balmukund Meena

Ranjan Raj is an Indian actor who hails from Bihar. He has taken on key roles in titles like Bala (2019), Dream Girl 2 (2023), Helmet (2021) and more. In season 3 of Kota Factory, he reprises his role as Balmukund Meena.

In the series, Balmukund Meena is the sweetest character in Kota Factory and one of Vaibhav's dearest friends. He comes from a poor family and his parents are farmers. Meena is a hard worker and an excellent student, who learns to organize and manage his finances.

In season 3, he encounters a major financial crisis as there is a drought in his village. When his friends learn about his financial situation, they try to help him. Balmukund tries to give coaching classes to earn money but soon realizes that this is hampering his studies. He then goes to Jeetu Bhaiya and seeks his help.

All his hard work pays off when he gets a high AIR score, which will now help him get into a prestigious institute in the country.
