La Maison Season 1 premiered on Apple TV+ on September 20, 2024, bringing a back-to-back episode titled "17 Minutes" and "Nepo Baby." The first two episodes brought a fast-paced look at the French fashion house Maison LEDU's downfall after Vincent's (played by Lambert Wilson) 17-minute racist video went viral.
It was an introduction to the Ledu family, their allies, their rivals and the budding tension and high drama that's set to envelop the entire show. There's Vincent, who heads the Maison, and his brother Victor, who works for the rival fashion house called Rovel, which is owned by Diane, who wants to end Maison LEDU and is also Victor's mother-in-law. Then, there's the Ledu sister, Marie, and her son, Robinson, who is a frustrated fashion designer turned head of PR at the Maison.
There's also Perle, who's Vincent's right-hand woman who's having an affair with Victor, and Paloma, Vincent's daughter with a past lover who has long breathed his last.
With the complex relationship between the characters and the rival fashion houses, fans can expect a lot of drama in the upcoming Episode 3, especially with Paloma Castel set to take over Vincent's position as the artistic director of Maison LEDU.

What can fans expect from the La Maison Season 1 Episode 3?
Paloma takes over Maison LEDU
At the end of the La Maison Season 1 premiere, Paloma accepted Perle's offer to become the new artistic director for Maison LEDU.
During the board meeting attended by the Ledu family, they had to choose who would be Vincent's successor. The choice was between Robinson and Paloma, and Vincent wanted it to be Robinson. He bought Marie's vote with some painting she wanted, and it would have been three votes — Vincent, Robinson and Marie — against Victor, who was in favor of Paloma.
However, in a turn of events, Victor revealed that the 17-minute video that led to Vincent's fall from grace was from Robinson's phone. Vincent was understandably upset with his nephew, and despite him not wanting Paloma in the Maison, the young designer was voted to become the new AD. The final scene in Episode 2 marked the beginning of Paloma marking her new territory as she told Vincent that she didn't want to see him in her Maison.
La Maison Season 1 Episode 3 is expected to feature Paloma stepping into her new role as the head designer in Maison LEDU. While she's likely to take it slow in the beginning, Paloma's assertive personality means she's going to be making her mark in the Maison.
The fashion house is going to see a shift ,as Paloma's design aesthetic is as innovative as Vincent's was traditional.
Whether or not the rest of Maison LEDU will take Paloma as the new AD with open arms is yet to be determined. She's also going to be working closely with Perle in the fashion house, and La Maison Season 1 Episode 3 is expected to tackle the new dynamic between the two La Maison characters.
Moreover, a part of the reason why Paloma picked the Maison over Rovel is because of its connection to Gino Castel, her adoptive dad, who died. Gino worked at the Maison before, and Paloma is expected to uncover more about her dad the longer she stays at the fashion house.
Vincent steps down from the fashion house that bears his name
With Paloma set to replace him as the head designer of Maison LEDU, La Maison Season 1 Episode 3 will likely feature how Vincent copes.
Based on his reactions when he doesn't get his way, like his racist tirade after the deal with Sun-Hi fell through, it won't be an easy transition for the graying haute couture designer.
There's also no love lost between the father and daughter, per Vincent and Paloma's interaction at the fashion house in front of Gino's unfinished painting. Vincent taunted Paloma about her parents, which angered her, causing her to lash out and tell her biological father that she didn't want to see him in her Maison.
While Vincent took Paloma's statement with a shrug and a smirk before walking out, it wouldn't likely be the last of their interaction. After all, the Maison is a family business, and there are still a lot of scores to settle between the estranged father and daughter.
La Maison Season 1 Episode 3 is expected to provide a glimpse of their initial dynamic, given that it is likely the first time they've met.

More backstabbing and betrayal within the Ledu family
The next episode of La Maison Season 1 is expected to bring more backstabbing and betrayal between the famed Ledu family.
In the previous episode, Madame Rovel and Victor planned how they could start the buyout process of the Maison. Victor suggested that they work on the family one by one, starting with what he said was the family's "weakest link."
He was referring to Robinson, who was already frustrated after a failed fashion design venture. Victor and Madame Rovel's plot against Robinson is likely to begin in the next episode, bringing more familial tension to the French fashion drama.
More secrets between the Ledu family members are also expected to come out. The premiere teased Marie's affair with another woman, which her brothers still don't seem to know. Whether or not that secret will come out or be used against her is yet to be determined.
Moreover, Vincent's connection with Paloma's adoptive dad, Gino, is still unclear. When Paloma asked Perle why Gino's unfinished painting at the Maison headquarters is hidden behind a curtain, Perle told her that "like everything else connected to Gino, it's too painful for Vincent."
Her comments tease much deeper ties between Paloma's birth and adoptive father. The next episodes of La Maison Season 1 are set to cover Vincent and Gino's backstory and how it relates to Paloma and her mom.
