A brief recap of La Maison Season 1 Episode 2
In the second episode of the French fashion drama, Paloma accepted Perle's job offer to replace Vincent as Maison LEDU's artistic director. She picked LEDU over Victor's offer to work with Madame Diane Rovel for two reasons. LEDU is an independent fashion house, a lesser evil compared to Rovel. Secondly, Maison LEDU also has ties to her dad, Gino Castel, and she wants to know more about her dad's life at the fashion house.
Meanwhile, Madame Rovel works in the background with the help of Victor, who is married to her daughter, Caroline, and wants to be Rovel's CEO. They want to go on the offensive in buying out Maison LEDU, but to do that, they have to destroy the family members one by one. They plot how they will do that, to which Victor says they should start with the Ledu family's weakest link—Robinson.
Paloma and Vincent also met at Hotel de Beauvais in front of Paloma's dad's unfinished painting, which was his ode to her. When Vincent berated her about her late parents, Paloma held her own and told him that she was now the AD of Maison LEDU and didn't want to see him in her Maison.

Episode 3 is titled "The Family Photograph," which is a play on Paloma and Vincent's reunion, no matter how tense it might have been in the final scene of Episode 2.
Paloma is set to take her rightful place in the family-owned fashion house as Vincent's successor. Because she's Vincent's birth daughter, her place as the new artistic director of the Maison has played into the familial hierarchy within the fashion house for generations.
