Apple TV+’s Land of Women is a comedy-drama series which was released recently on June 26, 2024. The series has till date seen the release of two episodes, with the third one scheduled for a release next week on July 3, 2024.
Based on Sandra Barneda’s novel of the same name, Land of Women revolves around a mother who is forced to flee the city along with her mother and daughter. It stars Eva Longoria as Gala, who is implicated in a financial wrongdoing case by her husband. Of course, Longoria is not the only notable star who features in the series.
The official synopsis reads as follows:
“It follows Gala as her life is turned upside down when her husband implicates the family in financial improprieties, and she is forced to flee the city alongside her mother and daughter.”

1) Eva Longoria as Gala
Eva Longoria has played a range of huge roles in the industry. The Desperate Housewives star has previously been seen in movies such as Dora and the Lost City of Gold and Harsh Times, and plays the starring role in the series.
Eva Longoria has also displayed her voice acting talent via roles in series such as BoJack Horseman and The Simpsons, and she has even been in the popular sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. In Land of Women, she stars as Gala, who is forced to take her family to Spain after getting into trouble due to her husband.
2) Santiago Cabrera as Amat
Santiago Cabrera is seen in Land of Women as Amat, Gala’s husband. The actor has already established himself in the industry via roles in projects such as Heroes, Merlin, Big Little Lies, and Star Trek: Picard.
He made his debut way back in 2003 via the series Spooks and was recently seen in The Cleaning Lady and Neon. Cabrera has once again been given a starring role in Land of Women, and is set to be an integral part of the series.
3) Carmen Maura as Julia
Carmen Maura is the final veteran actress who is a part of Land of Women. She plays the role of Julia, Gala’s mother, who accompanies her daughter and granddaughter to Spain. Maura is a Spanish actress who has been in the industry since 1969.
She has featured in projects in both English and Spanish over the years, and was previously seen in 2021’s Deudas. Boasting an extensive CV, Maura is set to add to her stellar career via her role in the series.
