The Office's Australian remake garnered significant attention when it was announced, primarily because the show has been a huge hit in both America and the United Kingdom. However, this Australian remake's first trailer was highly polarising for fans, who were simply unimpressed by the cast, the humor, and the overall presentation of the series.

The first trailer for the series, which stars Felicity Ward as Hannah Howard, the Australian counterpart of Steve Carell's Michael Scott, did not seem as amusing to fans, who even labeled it as a cheaper parody. X user @iamthedevilsec said this, writing:

"This looks like a bad fan made parody wtf lol."

Other fans were just as vocal about the criticism of this new remake, with many pointing out how it did not at all feel like the original Office, or the US Office, for that matter. Many also criticized the trailer for its lack of originality.

What is The Office Australia all about?

The Australian remake of The Office follows the same style and premise as that of the USA version and the UK version, both of which were criticality and commercially successful shows during their respective times.

After multiple remakes, this Australian remake is set to bring forth a female boss in place of Michael Scott or David Brent. Felicity Ward as Hannah Howard takes on this role.
