Strategically titled Captain of the Sh*t Out of Luck, Mayor of Kingstown season 3 episode 8 witnessed things go haywire for Jeremy Renner's Mike McLusky as he struggled to maintain peace in the town.
After Bunny cut ties with Mike in the seventh episode, it was clear he would seek revenge. And that is exactly what happened in the latest episode of the show.
Bunny sent some of his men to prison to deal with Merle Callahan and other members of the Aryan Brotherhood, who had been causing problems for Bunny's drug business. Although Callahan wasn't killed, Bunny's men were able to kill at least three of Callahan's men and leave Callahan severely injured.

Callahan was severely injured after Bunny's killing attempt in Mayor of Kingstown season 3 episode 8
Bunny finally followed his instincts in the latest episode of Mayor of Kingstown season 3. After being repeatedly targeted by Merle Callahan and other members of the Aryan Brotherhood, Bunny sent his men to Kingstown prison to seek revenge on Callahan and his people.
Episode 8 of Mayor of Kingstown season 3 opened with police patrolling the borders of the correctional home while Callahan and his fellow inmates go about their business. Soon, the peace was disrupted by a sniper aiming at the police stationed at the barricades.
A sniper targeted a man who arrived on a motorcycle, parked outside the prison, and dropped three bombs inside. As the bomber left, a police officer aimed at him, and the sniper shot the bomber.
The violent scene resulted in at least three deaths and left Callahan severely injured and hospitalized. Throughout the episode, Callahan's condition worsened, with him vomiting blood. It’s uncertain whether this marked the end of Callahan, one of the season’s main antagonists, or if there's more to come.
Tracy reached out to Mike for help in Mayor of Kingstown season 3 episode 8
Up until now, Tracy had been keeping the news of prison inmate Cherry Maxwell's assault a secret from his close ones. However, in the recent episode of Mayor of Kingstown season 3, Tracy reached out to Mike for help with her case. While she did not reveal much besides the problem at hand, Mike suspected that Tracy was hiding something.
Upon further prodding, Tracy revealed that she suspects that CO William Breen had a hand in the incident, which made sense after he violently attacked Tracy as they were leaving the office.
Upon receiving this information, Mike called Ian and asked him to accompany him in his search for Breen. They located him at a bar where he was drinking with his colleagues. After they brought him outside, Mike confronted and beat him and asked him to transfer himself to a different location. Additionally, Mike instructed Breen not to bother the women in the correctional home for the remainder of the time that he will be there.
Robert and Kyle get into a brief scuffle in Mayor of Kingstown season 3 episode 8
After Bunny's involvement in the incidents at the beginning of season 3, episode 8 of Mayor of Kingstown is made public, Mike helps the Kingstown Police by revealing Bunny's possible location.
He led them to a secret warehouse where Bunny usually spends his time. However, to everyone's surprise, the team found the location empty. Following this, Robert was under the impression that Mike had misled them to protect Bunny. On the other hand, Mike's brother Kyle defended him, sparking a brief clash with Robert, who was angered by this.
