Netflix dropped the official trailer for the comedy special on December 9, 2024. In an exclusive interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Buteau explained that her idea to tape the show at Radio City Hall was inspired by the venue's magical atmosphere and the fact that no female had ever recorded a show there before.

Despite the challenge, Buteau went ahead with her idea. In the trailer, she loudly declares that while she may be the first woman to tape a show on the iconic stage, she should definitely not be the last.

She also speaks about her life as a mother of twins and how it brings about hilarious and unprecedented situations in her life. While Netflix makes sure not to reveal too many details of her set in the trailer, it provides just enough to pique the audience's interest.

The trailer features Buteau comically explaining how her husband feels threatened by Lenny Kravitz following her on Instagram. Speaking about her comedy career, she says in the trailer:

"I wanna make millions and millions of dollars for making people feel safe, seen, secure, heard and entertained"

Michelle Buteau: A Buteau-ful Mind is a highly anticipated special for those who have grown to know and love the comedian. She is also the author of Survival of the Thickest, which was adapted into a Netflix show that was renewed for a second season in 2024.

Buteau has been the host of the reality show The Circle on Netflix since 2020. She has starred in several movies and shows, with her latest role being in the 2024 comedy film Babes.
