Fortunately, Lala, who speaks Spanish, kept the situation under control. Gibbs later apologized for his reaction, but Lala told him that she would have to file a report about it to Mike. However, later, it's revealed that Lala kept the incident between them so that Gibbs wouldn't get into trouble.
Gibbs told Lala about how when his beloved dog died, his father took him fishing, and how he hadn't been fishing for a long time. His story signifies that he has been seeking a reason to forget his miseries and continue living. In the last scene of the episode, Lala tells him, 'You should go fishing sometime,' encouraging him to find something or someone to love and care.
