Netflix’s Is It Cake? Holiday: Guest list explored

All four episodes of Is It Cake? Holiday, Netflix’s game show-style cooking competition series, were released on November 28, 2024. This holiday special builds on the excitement generated by the three previous installments of the show.

As in previous seasons, in Is It Cake? Holiday features bakers baking cakes that look deceptively like common objects, with judges tasked with identifying whether the objects in front of them are cakes or just random objects.

The holiday edition of the show brought back star performers from the previous three seasons, with guest appearances by Rachel Bloom, Hannah Berner, and James Austin Johnson, among others.

1) Rachel Leah Bloom

Rachel Bloom appeared as a judge in episode 1 of the latest edition of the game show. An actress, comedian, singer, writer, and producer, she is famous for co-creating and starring as Rebecca Bunch in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (2015–2019). She has also appeared in films like Most Likely to Murder (2018) and shows like How I Met Your Mother (2012), among others.

2) Hannah Berner

Born on August 12, 1991, the rising comedy talent Berner appeared in episode 2 of Is It Cake? Holiday. She is known for appearing in seasons 3 through 5 of Summer House. Additionally, her stand-up special We Ride at Dawn (2024) made quite a splash on Netflix, featuring jokes that touched upon issues such as ageism and s*xism.

3) James Austin Johnson

Also known as JAJ, Johnson is a comedian and actor currently on NBC’s Saturday Night Live, where he joined as a featured player for the show's 47th season in 2021. He has impersonated both Donald Trump and Joe Biden on the show. Johnson has also appeared in films like Inside Out 2 (2024) and shows like Better Call Saul (2018) and others.

4) Terry Alan Crews

Terry Crews is a familiar face on television. An actor, television host, and former football player, he began hosting America's Got Talent in 2019. He is known for his role as Julius Rock in the UPN/CW sitcom Everybody Hates Chris and for portraying Terry Jeffords in the Fox and NBC sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. He has also starred in films like Friday After Next (2002) and Blended (2014).
