No Good Deed is an upcoming Netflix series set to release on December 12. The series stars Lisa Kudrow (Friends), Ray Romano (Everybody Loves Raymond), and Linda Cardellini (Dead to Me) in the leading roles. All eight episodes of No Good Deed will premiere on December 12, 2024.
The series follows three families fighting over ownership of a Los Angeles house that seems like a dream home but carries some dark secrets that they may uncover the hard way.
The Netflix series has been created by Liz Feldman, whose prior credits include Dead To Me, where she worked with Linda Cardellini. Speaking to Tudum on September 30, Liz claimed that she conceived of No Good Deed while working on the final season of Dead to Me:

“I had already started dreaming up this world of Los Angeles real estate and thinking, ‘Why hasn’t there been a show about the buying and selling of one house and all of the people that revolve around that one location?’ I thought, ‘Who would that badass b*tch be in this world?’ ”
No Good Deed consists of eight half-hour episodes
No Good Deed is a dark comedy that will run for eight episodes. The title is a pun on the term "title deed", which is used to describe real estate ownership.
The series focuses on a 1920s Spanish-style villa that becomes coveted by multiple parties for their own varying agendas. The house is sold off by Paul Morgan and Lydia Morgan, with Paul hoping that his real estate sale will help him escape his financial problems.
Unfortunately, he learns the hard way that things are not going to be that simple. One contender for getting the house is Margo Starling, who is a social climber who wants to buy the villa for a status boost. She's also the girlfriend of a high-end developer, with whom she schemes to flip the house for a profit.
Another person in the running for the house is JD Campbell (Luke Wilson) who's a washed-up soap opera star with a demanding wife. Seeking to downsize from his old mansion without giving up his lifestyle, he seeks out the Spanish-style villa in order to fulfill his needs.
Carla and Dennis are an African-American couple who are vying for ownership of the villa. The two are an expanding family and are reeling under recent financial stresses that exacerbate the tensions between them.
Other contenders for the villa include the lesbian couple Leslie Fisher, played by Abby Jacobson, and Sarah, her relatively grounded and down-to-earth wife.
While Leslie has a curious streak and is overjoyed to see her long-coveted home go on sale, Sarah serves as the more cautious and skeptical half of the couple.
Rounding out the cast are Mikey, played by Denis Leary, who is an ex-convict struggling to make a recovery after a series of poor decisions caught up with him, as well as Greg, played by Matt Rogers, who's a slimy real-estate agent utterly set on closing the real-estate deal by any means necessary.
No Good Deed is executive produced by Liz Feldman, as well as Silver Tree, who worked with her on Dead To Me. The series will premiere on Netflix on December 12.
