The Spanish teen drama Raising Voices is set to release worldwide on Netflix on Friday, May 31, 2024. Based on Miguel Sáez Carral's novel of the same name (Ni una más in Spanish), the series, also known as Not One More, takes a close look at the complex world of modern adolescence.

The show follows the lives of three high school best friends, Alma, Greta, and Nata, whose lives change drastically after one event. When 17-year-old Alma speaks out against a s*xual assault incident, she finds herself in a perilous situation, navigating it alone. Raising Voices: Everything we know so far about the YA series

Netflix announced the greenlighting of a television series based on Miguel Sáez Carral's 2021 book on Thursday, September 22, 2022. The filming for Raising Voices began the following month, in October 2022, at various locations around Madrid. All episodes of the show have been directed by Eduard Cortés, Marta Font Pascual, and David Ulloa.

The show is created and executive produced by José Manuel Lorenzo and Miguel Sáez Carral. Additionally, Miguel Lorenzo serves as an executive producer. Carral, an experienced screenwriter, has writing credits on the show alongside Isa Sánchez. He has written for numerous television shows, such as Sin tetas no hay paraíso, Al salir de clase, Homicidios, and Past Lies.

The series is produced by the production company DLO Producciones, known for acclaimed projects like El Inmortal, Señor, dame paciencia, La caza. Monteperdido, Dime Quién Soy: Mistress of War, etc.

The Spanish actress and singer Nicole Wallace stars as the lead character, Alma, in the Netflix series. Wallace is known for her previous roles as Nora Grace in the television series Skam España (2018-2020) and Noah Morgan in the 2023 film Culpa mia (or My Fault).

Her best friends, Greta and Nata, are played by Clara Galle and Aïcha Villaverde, respectively. Galle has appeared as Rachel Mendoza in the film Through My Window (2022) and its sequels, Through My Window: Across the Sea (2023) and Through My Window: Looking at You (2024). She also starred as Eva Merino in the television series The Boarding School: Las Cumbres (2022).

Meanwhile, Aïcha Villaverde takes on her first prominent role in Raising Voices. The show's cast also includes Ruth Díaz, Eloy Azorín, José Pastor, Sara Rivero, Gabriel Guevara, Iván Massagué, and Teresa de Mera.
