Apple TV+ series La Maison merges the glamour of the fashion world with the drama that is inherent to running a fashion house, especially when it's in the midst of a scandal. Two characters who are integral to the story being told are Paloma Castel (Zita Hanrot) and Robinson Ledu (Antoine Reinartz).

Sportskeeda spoke to both actors to preview this Apple TV+ original. Entirely in French, the language of fashion, the show is a portrayal of what happens behind the scenes of a fashion empire. The complex dynamics between the characters ensures that even those who are unfamiliar with the fashion world remain glued to their screens.

Even though Zita Hanrot has a passion for fashion, the Apple TV+ original helped her discover what haute couture truly means. The La Maison actress enthusiastically said the following:

"And I also discovered what haute couture means and what it’s about. And I think in the series, it’s really beautiful in the way the showrunners and the writers said things about haute couture. Like it’s a dream. It’s almost like poetry. And it’s you need time to make haute couture."

La Maison from Apple TV+ is a backstage pass into the world of fashion

Even before she became a part of the Apple TV+ original, the world of fashion fascinated Zita Hanrot. She said:

"In fact, I always loved fashion you know. It’s in the streets. It’s in the luxury boutiques. It’s everywhere. But I didn’t know the backstage of the fashion world. Like the bad things but also the beautiful things."

But being a part of the La Maison universe helped the talented French actress discover how much effort and planning goes into making a fashion show happen. She continued:

"And I discovered a whole new world like the people who are making the clothes, the people who are thinking about the clothes and how to present the clothes on the runway. And how to choose the music. To do something really beautiful to present the clothes to the world."

Robinson Ledu is as far removed from Antoine Reinartz's personality as can be. In the interview, the French actor shared that he had to work hard to understand the motivation of his La Maison character:

"It was a long way actually. Especially for the outfits. Because at the beginning I knew some designers in France who were very low profile. Who create amazing, outstanding outfits but they are in jeans and a white t-shirt and in the same blue jeans. And I wanted that. And then, working and working he’s also very frustrated so he puts a lot of himself within his outfits."

Even though Robinson Ledu is from the powerful Ledu family in the Apple TV+ original, which allows him a foothold in the world of fashion, actor Reinartz tried his best to showcase how being a 'nepo baby' is really not an easy badge to wear. He further mentioned in the interview:

"I’m not the son of somebody… yes, I’m the son of two people but not the son of somebody in cinema, for example. And I find it interesting to show that it’s not that easy to wear such an inheritance."

Catch a brand new episode of La Maison every Friday until November 15 only on Apple TV+. In addition to Hanrot and Reinartz, the show also stars Lambert Wilson, Amira Casar, Pierre Deladonchamps and Carole Bouquet among others!
