Bridgerton season 4 is arguably one of the most anticipated entries from Netflix right now, and it has finally given a huge update. There was a lot of speculation surrounding the fourth season regarding who the next season of the show would feature, with many guessing Eloise (Claudia Jessie) as the frontrunner. But Netflix has confirmed that the fourth season of the show will focus on Benedict Bridgerton's story.
This has received an immensely positive reception from fans across the world, who are more than glad that out of the possible options, the show is going for this particular character played by Luke Thompson. Thomson has already established his character as one of the most loved in Bridegrton season 3, and now fans are glad they will see an entire arc of the character.

Who is Benedict Bridgerton?
Benedict Bridegrton is the second child and son of the Bridgerton family. In the novels, he is also the husband of Sophie Beckett, a story we are yet to explore in the Netflix show. He also has four children with Sophie.
As the second of the eight siblings in the family, he grew up closest to his brothers Anthony and Colin. He also shares a bond with his sister, Eloise. He studied at Eton College and later at the University of Cambridge, following in the footsteps of his brothers.
Benedict had taken a backseat in the narrative in the past two seasons, with the third season rarely featuring him. Still, Luke Thompson's character has remained a fan favorite, and it is now understandable why the character was not made a primary focus.
Sophie Beckett is yet to appear in the Netflix show, which again, leaves a lot of room for speculation amidst the huge fanbase as to who should take on this role. But the story of Sophie and Benedict remains one of the standout arcs in the original novel series by Julia Quinn.
The first three seasons of Bridgerton are now streaming on Netflix.
