The 34-year-old actor continued to explain that despite it being Father's Day on Sunday, he could not spend much of the holiday with his toddler, and hence they would do that on Monday. Daniel Radcliffe stated—

“I'm going to be doing most of my celebrating of Father's Day tomorrow. I saw him in the morning and then went to (Tonys) rehearsal and then went back and saw him again. And then I had a matinee today, so I haven't done a ton of hanging out with my son on Father's Day, but I will be doing that tomorrow, and I'm very excited about it."
"You and our son are the best thing that has ever happened to me"— Daniel Radcliffe thanks his family after winning his first Tony Award
Sunday also marked Daniel Radcliffe winning his first Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for his role as Charley Kringas in Merrily We Roll Along on Broadway. He took time to thank his parents as he accepted the honor—
"My mum and dad are here somewhere — happy Father's Day, dad, I love you both so much. Thank you for playing Sondheim in the car and just, you know, loving me. "
Merrily We Roll Along is a 1981 play based on a book by George Furth centered around three friends and how their lives change over the course of 20 years. Sondheim wrote the music and lyrics for the original play. Radcliffe starred in its recent Broadway revival along with Jonathan Groff and Lindsey Mendez in the lead.
The Harry Potter alum continued-
"And my love Erin — you and our son are the best thing that has ever happened to me. I love you so much, thank you so much. Thank you everybody."
During a press meet following the awards ceremony, Daniel Radcliffe told HELLO! it was an "emotionally charged" day for him. He explained that winning the award on Father's Day was special, with his own father being present in the audience, and also he being a dad now. He added—
"It's lovely, I honestly haven't spent a lot of time with my son today, so I'm excited to see him tomorrow.," he continued, "my dad's here in the audience, and really he's a huge part of all the music I've listened to."
Last October, the actor revealed his first six months as a father were "awesome" during his appearance on Today with Hoda & Jenna. He explained that people told him to "just get through the first six months" and things would get better.
However, Daniel Radcliffe stated that he enjoyed his time as a new father. He added:
"It's great. He's incredible, and I'm just, like, in awe."
Merrily We Roll Along is currently playing at the Hudson Theatre on Broadway in New York.
