What is the show Hacks all about?
The Gen Z comedy-drama explores a dark mentorship that forms between an entitled 25-year-old outcast and a legendary Las Vegas Comedian called Deborah France.
In season 1 of this show, Ava Daniels, a canceled young comedy writer, was selected to write jokes and help Deborah Vance make the first guest women standup a hit.
Deborah and Ava were seen arguing throughout the season because of conflicting views and their varying approaches to humor. However, after one point, they started mutually respecting and loving each other. Their relationship was destroyed when Deborah slapped Ava after she looked for outside work.
In season 2, Ava and Deborah eventually make up, even after Deborah finds out about the email that Ava sent to television producers, pointing out her partner's faults. Despite their differences, both of them are seen working hard in season 2 to create the best standup set.
Season 2 ends with Deborah and Ava on a high note as they sell thousands of copies through QVC and become successful.
In season 3 of this show, fans see Deborah Vance, who a year after parting is riding high off the success of her standup special. On the other hand, Ava is seen trying to pursue new chances in Los Angeles.
The show stars Jean Smart as Deborah Vance, Hannah Einbinder as Ava Daniels, Jane Adams as Nina Daniels, and Lorenza Izzo as Ruby among many others.
All episodes of season 3 of Hacks are now streaming on Max.
