After the second episode of HBO’s Hard Knocks: Training Camp with Chicago Bears was delayed by an hour on HBO Max on Tuesday, August 13, 2023, fans of the show, who were awaiting to see the Bears back in action on Max, grew impatient and voiced their frustration on the socials. The episode was originally supposed to come to the streamer on August 13, 2024, at 8 p.m. CT, however, it arrived on HBO Max at 9:15 pm CT. HBO has not provided a reason for the delay.

At first, 'Sports on Max' issued a statement on X about the episode release delay and wrote~
"There is a delay for tonight's episode of #HardKnocks: Training Camp with the on Max. The episode will be available soon"
After viewing the above tweet, fans of the show were furious because of the delay. However, while expressing their frustration, most of them were being sarcastic. They wrote:
"I just smashed my TV in front of 30 guests at my party because of the delay. My wife just took our crying kids and said they’re all spending the week at a hotel. This has ruined my life and my party. I can’t handle this anymore. Goodbye HBO. I am no longer a subscriber," a fan wrote.

This is not the first time that HBO fans and viewers have witnessed a delay. HBO has previously delayed the FRIENDS reunion in 2020 and also delayed Last Week Tonight with John Oliver on YouTube.
