Ricki Lake opened up about losing her home in the ongoing LA wildfires

Ricki Lake's latest Instagram post about celebrity medium Tyler Henry allegedly predicting a house fire comes days after she shared the news of losing her Malibu home in the ongoing Palisades wildfire.

Fires have broken out in the Pacific Palisades, Eaton Canyon, the Hollywood Hills, Malibu, and other areas around Los Angeles since Tuesday, January 7.

Lake was one of the residents who lost her home in the fires, which she shared on Instagram on January 9. Her first post was a timeline of their efforts to save her Malibu home, starting from 11:24 am, when she said that they saw "early signs of smoke in Temescal Canyon.

Shortly after that, she wrote that they set up their fire defense system and by the afternoon, her fiance, Ross, started "hosing down our neighbor's palm tree."

By 6:55 in the evening, Ricki Lake wrote that they were having second thoughts about staying in their home or evacuating. But, per her post, she lost her home in the fire on January 7, 2025.

In her "Part 2" Instagram post, also shared on January 9, the talk show host said that they admitted defeat and left their home. Alongside a clip showing the nearby wildfires as they hightailed out of the neighborhood, she wrote:

"We finally surrendered our efforts and left our home at 8:02 pm. Grateful to have made it out alive and uninjured. Forever grateful to @kirbykotler_ our absolute angel. He did everything to try to save our precious property."

She further mentioned that leaving their home was the best decision at the time, saying that if they had stayed, they wouldn't have survived the fire.

She also encouraged her fans and followers to pray for people impacted by the fires before she thanked the efforts of firefighters and first responders.

Ricki Lake is one of the many celebrities who lost their homes in the ongoing LA wildfires.

Milo Ventimiglia lost his home in the Palisades Fire, and Leighton Meester and Adam Brody, Paris Hilton, Diane Warren, and Cameron Mathison have lost theirs as well, per Deadline.
