⁠"How dare you" - Whoopi Goldberg calls out Trump's VP pick J.D. Vance over 2021 comment about Kamala Harris and AOC

During a recent episode of The View, moderator Whoopi Goldberg bashed Trump’s VP Pick J.D. Vance, as she replayed a 2021 clip where Vance was seen calling Kamala Harris and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez "childless cat ladies.” As she played the old video, she started bashing the politician, and stated how “there are some people who have chosen not to have children.”

Whoopi Goldberg said:

"Sir, there are people who have chosen not to have children for whatever reason. There are people who want to have children who cannot. How dare you. You never had a baby; your wife had a baby. But, you never had a baby, so you know nothing about this. How dare you. Women? You heard how he thinks of you. This is not good for you, J.D. Now, what the hell?"

Just as Whoopi Goldberg finished her sentence, the legal expert of The View, Sunny Hostin, also called Vance’s quote a “myopic view." She stated how she sees the statement as unless one does not have kids, they cannot have a “stake” in the country.

Furthermore, Alyssa Farah Griffin, a former member of Trump’s White House communications team, also gave her opinion about J.D. Vance’s statement, and talked about “infertility and miscarriage rates.” Stating how it was wrong on Vance’s part to speak ill about Kamala Harris not having kids, Griffin said:

"How dare you denigrate them and say they are not as valuable or have as much of a stake.”

As J.D. Vance receives a lot of bashing on The View from the panel members, the resurfacing of the old clip has also outraged many social media users, as Trump’s VP pick, J.D. Vance was heard saying:

"We're effectively run in this country, via the Democrats, via our corporate oligarchs, by a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they've made, so they want to make the rest of the country miserable, too."

As Whoopi Goldberg stated in her opening statement about the phrase by Vance being inappropriate, she also mentioned names of popular political leaders who did not have kids in her closing comments. She said:

"You know who else didn't have biological kids? George Washington, the father of our nation. You know what he did? Like Kamala, he raised Martha's children. He raised them with her. James Polk had no children, James Buchanan and Andrew Jackson had no biological children because none of them could have kids.”

Kamala Harris was endorsed by Joe Biden as the nominee for the Presidential elections to be held in the United States of America in November this year. The nomination came after Joe Biden announced his dropping out of the race.

Apart from endorsing Kamala, Joe Biden also announced that she would inherit his $95 million campaign fund.

While neither J.D. Vance nor Donald Trump have commented on the 2021 statement passed by the VP Candidate, the duo has also remained silent about the thoughts of Whoopi Goldberg and the rest of the panel at The View.

However, social media users continued to pour in their thoughts, as many jumped into a heated debate with Trump followers defending Vance, and others bashing him.
