Television personality Nick Cannon shared a hilarious response to a post linking him to Kamala Harris' newborn tax credit. On Friday, August 16, 2024, Harris unveiled her economic agenda for the upcoming presidential election. The proposed policies included the elimination of medical debt, a $25,000 subsidy for first-time home buyers, and providing $6,000 per child to families for the first year of the baby's life.

In a December 2022 interview on The Checkup with Dr. Agus, Nick Cannon explained that he loved his big family but added:
"Being a father of multiple kids, it's always the biggest guilt on me is that I don't get to spend enough time with all my children. One 'cause I'm constantly working and two because I'm just spread thin."
The host married Mariah Carey in April 2008 and split in 2014 after six years of marriage. They share twins, Moroccan and Monroe, born in April 2011. Despite their divorce, the pair maintain an amicable relationship, with Cannon telling PEOPLE in 2018 that their children come first.
Nick has credited his eldest, Monroe, with helping him through tough times, including the death of his son, Zen. In December 2021, he told PEOPLE:
