Six months ago, Let’s Make A Deal star Wayne Brady secretly welcomed a baby. The comedian shared information about his newborn son Val with viewers of the Freeform reality show Wayne Brady: The Family Remix.
In the first season premier of the show on Wednesday, July 24, he acknowledged that the child was “not on [his] bingo card.” He further said,
“When I first found out … I was floored. A 51-year-old dad? I didn’t see it coming. So was I happy? No. Because I was in shock.”
Val is Wayne's second kid. Wayne and his ex-wife Mandie Taketa share a daughter, named Maile Maile Masako Brady.
In February 2024, Brady looked back on Maile's 21st birthday on Instagram and referred to it as "the day my life changed forever." He said he was "so proud" to be Maile's father and that she was "a blessing."

Whose Line Is It Anyway? star Wayne Brady recently shared that he and his ex-partner Tina had a son, Val Henry, to sources such as PEOPLE magazine. While talking about Val, Wayne said during the premiere episode of his series,
“My family is everything to me but there are some things I’ve never told anybody outside of this immediate family. Like, I happen to have a 6-month-old son that people don’t know about.”
Brady further said on July 24 to Entertainment Weekly that he's prepared to take on fatherhood once more. Further talking about Val, he went on to say,
“I’m a proud father. I want him to know that there's no shame attached to him.”
Apart from Val, Brady and his second wife, Mandie Taketa, had their first child together, Maile, in 2003. In February 2024, Brady took to Instagram to talk about Maile's 21st birthday and said,
“Out of all the people you could have chosen to help you start your journey, you chose your Mother and I. The best part of being your Dad is getting a front row seat for the butt kicking you're going to give the World! Your drive, talent, heart, and sense of self are staggering to me!”
Maile shared about her Japanese roots in a May 2022 Instagram post for Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, featuring images of her mother and ancestors. She revealed that her middle name, Masako, comes from her mother's side of the family.
Maile graduated from high school in 2021 and will graduate from Loyola Marymount University in 2025. According to her Freeform press bio, she is studying theater arts and has experience in classical and street dance, as well as training in hip-hop, jazz, and musical theater.
She has further participated in school performances at LMU, where she played Sally Bowles in Cabaret. Furthermore, in 2021, Wayne Brady's daughter dropped her first single, Exhale.
In January 2024, she released her second song, Gotta Have It, featuring her friend Iz LaMarr.
Additionally, Maile is a huge fan of musical theater in addition to seeking a degree in theater arts.
Now, recently, Brady said that he was shocked to discover that, in addition to his daughter Maile, 21, he is also the father of Val Henry, who is now a 6-month-old baby. He welcomed Val together with Tina, his ex-partner, with whom he had relationships during the pandemic.
