"I'd choose a bear over a man" — Kel Mitchell's daughter calls out the star over his comments about her mother

Actor, comedian, TV host, and singer Kel Mitchell appeared on the May 15 episode of Shannon Sharpe's podcast Club Shay Shay, where he accused his former wife Tyisha Hampton of infidelity and getting pregnant by other men multiple times during their marriage.

In the wake of his allegations, his daughter Allure has fired back at her father for his viral claims. The following day, she commented under a social media post featuring the podcast video and wrote:

“I am your daughter and as a woman, I am so disappointed in you. I’d choose a bear over a man.”

Meanwhile, Tyisha Hampton also called out Kel Mitchell for reportedly lying about her character in public and denied the cheating allegations he brought against her.

Kel Mitchell’s daughter accused her father of getting her and her brother “tested” to see if they were his children

A day after his explosive remarks on the Club Shay Shay podcast about his first wife’s alleged infidelity, Kel Mitchell’s elder daughter Allure called him out for reportedly lying about her mother.

“Dad, I honestly don’t understand why you keep putting this out here when I’ve told you men have been contacting me and calling me a sl*t because of my mother,” she wrote in a comment of an Instagram post comprising the viral clip.

In a follow-up comment, she wrote about Kel Mitchell’s constant absence during her upbringing and wrote that her last name change had nothing to do with her stepfather, but it was because their mother wanted all her children to “feel” the same.

“I begged to take over my stepdad's last name he made it a cute ceremonial thing because it was him accepting me as his DAUGHTER. You got my brother and I tested to see if we were yours while the dad who stepped [in] took over the role you let go, please speak the truth,” she urged.

Continuing to explain why she took her stepfather’s surname, Allure wrapped up her disappointment in another comment writing:

“And when people would Google us and see that our last name is Mitchell and it was embarrassing to say my dad wasn’t there so by taking my stepdad’s name, I felt like every other kid in the class from a two-parent household."

Notably, this is not the first time Kel Mitchell’s daughter has publicly spoken up against him. Earlier, in 2022, she took to her social media and claimed:

“My father is the type of man to fake as if he’s in my life but he’s not. He was there “financially,” what I mean by that is he only paid for what in my eyes looked good on paper. He helped pay for my first car, my high school tuition, and my housing on campus until I cut him off for exactly this. A father should just simply care.”

Back then, Allure also mentioned how she lived “completely independently without any parental help” and wanted to show her biological father that she needed his presence and care, rather than his money, while “growing up the way I had to.”

“I have to remember he doesn’t even know me. How could he? He wasn’t there. A father should be there emotionally. A father should be there for their daughters in need. A father should provide,” she mentioned.

On Wednesday, May 15, Kel Mitchell’s ex-wife also took to TikTok and alleged in a video that the All That actor lied about her abortions during the Shannon Sharpe interview, calling his cheating claims “crazy” and “narcissistic.”

“Kel’s math is not mathing. He is not talking about me,” she added while flipping the disloyalty accusation on him.

She also accused him of physical, emotional, and mental abuse. Earlier, in 2022, the mother-daughter duo alleged that Mitchell deprived them of millions of dollars in spousal and child support.

Kel Mitchell and Tyisha Hampton were married from 1999 until their divorce in 2005. They have two children, a daughter Allure, and a son Lyric.
