Following the discovery of security footage, which depicted Sam dumping the garbage bag out of his vehicle, where a dismembered torso was found, the police obtained a search warrant and reached Sam Haskell's place.
They eventually found incriminating evidence against Sam during his home search and arrested him. He has yet to go to trial but is being held without the possibility of bail. As of the last known reports, Sam Haskell is being held at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles, where he is awaiting his trial.
