Veteran actress Susan Lucci recently shared updates about her life while in conversation with ET's Rachel Smith for The grEaTs. The 77-year-old shed light on her recovery from a heart procedure and her outlook on the future, including the possibility of finding love after her husband Helmut Huber's passing in 2022.

Lucci, best known for her iconic role as Erica Kane in the soap opera All My Children, was married to Huber for 53 years. While speaking about the possibility of dating again, she said "everybody's different" and she "can't imagine" doing so.

"I know everybody's different, I can't imagine it, you know? Never say never, but I just can't imagine [it]," she said.

This comes after Lucci recently shared with People that producers of The Golden Bachelorette reached out to her publicist about her participating in the reality TV show. However, she mentioned it wasn't for her.

Susan Lucci sheds light on her health and life after husband's death

As per ET, since her Austrian-born chef husband died two years ago, Susan Lucci has been spending a considerable amount of time reading about the loss of a spouse and possible ways to deal with the situation. Although she recognized the possibility of finding love after loss, she remained skeptical, insisting that it was not for her right now.

"It is different for everyone and, you know, part of it is a choice to get up off the floor and put one foot in front of the other. I mean, it is better to go ahead with your life," she said.

Susan Lucci emphasized her gratitude for life, saying:

"The other thing is that I know that this life is a gift, it's meant to be a gift from God, and I'm never gonna thumb my nose at that -- I'm grateful. And I'm very grateful to have the love and have [had] Helmut in my life."

Susan Lucci also shared an update about her health following her second emergency heart surgery. In 2022, Lucci had a stent placed in her artery after doctors discovered a 75 percent blockage in one of her arteries. She reported feeling shortness of breath and discomfort at the time. The procedure took place after her 2018 open-heart surgery.

However, she is now in "very good shape," and spoke about her health as she told the publication:

"I'm in very good shape and I feel very good. I had a blockage, a 90 percent blockage in my main artery and a 75 percent blockage in the adjacent artery. And fortunately, I listened to my body and there was someone there [her doctor] who could prod me to go to the hospital."

Following her health scare, Susan Lucci has become an advocate for heart health and now serves as an ambassador for the American Heart Association.

Weeks after her procedure, Susan Lucci faced another major challenge when her husband of 53 years, Helmut Huber, passed away at the age of 84. In her interview with Good Day New York, Lucci spoke fondly of her late husband, saying:

"I just miss him. And he's worth missing. He was really, really the love of my life."

She called him a "very special big presence," and mentioned he was "caring, a caregiver, funny [and] smart." During their relationship, the couple had two children, Liza Huber and Andreas Huber.
