Maya Rudolph recently spoke to Variety and revealed how her phone was bombarded with texts by fans, after Joe Biden endorsed Kamala Harris to become the Presidential candidate for the upcoming US elections.

Stating how the fans instantly recalled her impersonating Harris multiple times on Saturday Night Live, during the previous elections, she called the reactions of the masses “wild,” and said,

“It was wild! On top of the excitement I felt, I received so many GIFs that had me laughing: LeBron James waiting to get in the game, Roman Roy watching his emails pour in… my phone hasn’t stopped blowing up.”

Furthermore, during her interview, Maya Rudolph also revealed how her name had started trending as soon as Kamala Harris stepped up, as many fans of the comedian wanted her to reprise the role of the current Vice President of the country.

Furthermore, Variety also mentioned that as Saturday Night Live is all set to come back with its 50th season, the makers can bring back Maya Rudolph playing Kamala Harris once again, with the elections for the next President of the United States of America just around the corner, in November of 2024.
