The Penguin has finally debuted its full trailer ahead of its September 2024 release date. Coming from the makers of The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson, this HBO Max series is set to expand on the gritty universe that Reeves introduced and perfected with the 2022 movie. The series will focus on the titular character, The Penguin (played by Colin Farell).
Set right after the events of Pattinson's acclaimed The Batman, this series will try to give a glimpse at the workings of the Gotham underworld through the perspective of Academy Award-nominee Colin Farell and his brilliant character, who was introduced in the movie back in 2022.
With the release of the first trailer, excitement all around soared sky-high as fans across the world came together in unanimous praise of the upcoming series. Many users came forward to present their opinions, most of which were overwhelmingly positive.

The Penguin new trailer dives much deeper into the criminal world of Gotham
The Penguin's trailer established a few things that were left out by the previous teaser. Apart from giving a glimpse at Oswal Cobblepot's motivations as the man to take over the crime syndicate in Gotham, the trailer also establishes the timeline by depicting the events that take place after The Batman and the death of Falcone.
The series also establishes with this teaser that there will be a power struggle, and a big one, which will see the Batman supervillain step up. The stylish trailer also made it clear that the beloved aesthetics of the previous Matt Reeves movie are going to follow fans here, which is a huge bonus.
Moreover, Colin Farrell, who happens to be a brilliant actor, will get more screen time and prominence, which is also bound to make the series much better. The events of this series may also tie into the upcoming second installment of Robert Pattinson's The Batman.
The Penguin releases this September 2024.
