Pretty Little Liars alum Ashley Benson shut down rumors of using Ozempic to lose her baby weight after the actress posted a selfie of herself on June 17, 2024. The picture of her in grey sweatpants, a black crop top, and a red hat gained traction among her fans, who marveled at the actress' fit look just four months after giving birth to her daughter in February 2024.

One particular comment under the post that caught Benson's attention was a picture of the Ozempic, insinuating that the actress was on the type 2 diabetes drug that has become prevalent among celebrities in Hollywood for weight loss. Ashley Benson took to Instagram Stories to clarify the claim, adding that she worked "very hard" to get her body back.

“Comments like this are so funny to me. I know a lot of people take ozempic and that's totally fine. To each their own. But don't discredit people who also work very hard to get their body back like I've done with mine. Getting back to work forced me to focus on my health and working out and I wanted to feel confident and good about myself," she wrote.

Benson also gave a shoutout to wellness coach Melissa Wood-Tepperberg's app for helping her on her fitness journey.

Ashley Benson welcomed her first child in February 2024

According to People Magazine, Ashley Benson welcomed her first child, a daughter, with her husband, Brandon Davis, on February 29, 2024. Benson, aged 34, and Davis, aged 43, officially announced their whirlwind romance on Instagram in June 2023 and their engagement the next month.

In October, Ashley Benson revealed she was expecting her first child after always wanting to have a large family.

“I want, like, 25 kids. Now [my former Pretty Little Liars costars Troian Bellisario and Shay Mitchell] are going to help with mine whenever I get pregnant — not anytime soon — but it’ll be fun,” she said in a 2019 interview with Us Weekly.

According to Us Weekly, Ashley Benson and Brandon Davis had a secret wedding ceremony in November 2023. The two have kept their relationship private, with Benson adding that she wanted to protect her relationship without exploiting it in a 2021 interview with Cosmopolitan UK.

The Spring Breakers star revealed her excitement at being a girl mom while speaking to People Magazine at the VIP launch event for the CYBEX by Jeremy Scott Car Collection in Los Angeles on June 5.

“I’m a new mom, so that’s been very fun. Oh my God, it's so much fun. She's mostly in little cute onesies and stuff, but we're taking her on vacation at the end of the summer, so I have all of her little dresses and the accessories. I mean, it's so much fun. Having a girl is the best,” Ahsley Benson said.

Ashley Benson is not the only star to recently refute the Ozempic claims. Breaking Bad star Jesse Plemons addressed the speculations that Ozempic helped him in his weight loss journey in an interview with the Los Angeles Times on June 13.

Plemons confirmed that his weight loss was credited to his lifestyle changes and not to the type 2 diabetes drug, adding that he had taken to intermittent fasting to shed pounds.

Other celebrities who denied Ozempic use to drop weight include Kelly Clarkson, Kyle Richard, and Julia Fox.
