Dreamworks Animation celebrates the month of horror with Curses Season 2 on Apple TV+, a show that has been dubbed "Indiana Jones in reverse." When a family finds cursed artifacts inside a restricted wing of their house, they make it their life's mission to return the artifacts to their owners.

There are great adventures and daring escapades, but because of the cursed nature of the items, this Apple TV+ original has its fair share of horror as well. From India to Australia, the Vanderhouven family travels the world, returning cursed artifacts, and serving up several edge-of-your-seat moments.

Pandora Vanderhouven is voiced by Gabrielle Nevaeh, who took the time to talk Curses Season 2 on Apple TV+ with Sportskeeda. She feels like Curses has outdone itself with its second chapter, even after the exceptional first season.

"You get to know them a little bit better. You get to know the dynamics. So I think that Season 2 is definitely a little more cohesive. It’s definitely a lot bigger with the adventures that the family goes on and the stories that we tell."

The world of Curses on Apple TV+ expands in Season 2

The second season doesn't just follow the Vanderhouven family as they travel to newer, more exotic locations to return cursed artifacts. While Season 1 was purely a family affair, Season 2 brings in more characters who get to know the secret of the family.

Nevaeh stated:

"I feel like it all lends to the writers, right? Because I can only learn as much as they tell me. But I think that as far as things from Season 1 that we explore more of in Season 2 is more of her relationship with her best friend. Because we’re expanding the world, right?"

Nevaeh also discussed who Pandora Vanderhouven is at her core and how that plays out in the Apple TV+ original.

"We’re diving deeper into who these characters are as people. And as far as Pandora is concerned, she has a very, very big heart. And sometimes that can get in the way in a few places. It can make things a little more difficult than they needed to be."

Sportskeeda naturally had to ask the young actor about her background in horror. Did Stephen King novels or monster movies ever appeal to her? She replied:

I'm a chicken. I get scared very, very easily. Watching horror animation, horror films, anything related to it, I just don't stomach it well, you know?

The star of the Apple TV+ animated series also confirmed that her friends make fun of how averse she is to horror. She added that being a part of a horror film was "very different" from viewing a horror film, mostly because she knows the story.

"I know where the jump scares are. I've got a leg up on everybody in the theater and everybody at home watching."

Catch Season 2 of Curses on Apple TV+. Join the Vanderhouvens as they struggle with a family curse that takes them all across the world. Let us know in the comments if you've watched the show. What are your thoughts on the show?
