Popular Emmy-winning actress, Marla Adams has tragically passed away at the age of 85. The actress is best known for her role in The Young and the Restless. Matt Kane, the director of media and talent for The Young and the Restless confirmed the news of Marla Adams passing away on Thursday, April 25, 2024, in Los Angeles.
Marla Adams’ spokesperson also confirmed the news of her passing away and the executive producer of the show, Josh Griffith released a statement—
"On behalf of the entire company of The Young and the Restless, we send our deepest sympathies to Marla's family. We're so grateful and in awe of Marla's incredible performance as Dina Mergeron as both Marla and Dina made an unforgettable mark on Y&R."
Marla, who was born in August 1938, is well-known for her portrayals of Belle Clemens on The Secret Storm, Myrna Clegg in Capitol, and Claire McIntrye on Days of Our Lives.
Her family is yet to reveal more details as many grow curious about the cause of the actress’ death. Adams is now survived by her kids, Pam Oates, and Gunnar Garat, her grandkids, and one great-grandson.
Marla Adams started off her career with Broadway

Not just acting, Marla Adams also excelled in school, and her hometown, as she was named Miss Diamond Jubilee at the 75th-anniversary celebration in 1954. Born and brought up in Ocean City, New Jersey, Marla Adams attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and started her career with Broadway in 1959.
She grew to fame when she starred as Belle Clemens on CBS’ The Secret Storm in 1968. Later, she joined the cast and crew of The Young and The Restless for the role of Dina Abbott. While the actress had a contract of only three years, she ended up appearing on countless episodes of the show, as she was seen in the series from 1983-1986, and then again in 1991 and 1996.
Furthermore, she reappeared on the series in 2008 for a brief time too. She then won her first Emmy Award for her role in 2018. She was then awarded the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress too.
Adams has also been cast in many other series as a guest star, as the audience loved her in The New Dick Van Dyke Show, Harry O, Archie Bunker’s Place, The Love Boat, and many others. She was also known as the third actress to play Beth Logan on The Bold and The Beautiful.
