Ginnifer Goodwin says she "would love to go back" for Once Upon a Time reboot. During a Disney Fan event at D23 on August 9 with PEOPLE, Jennifer Goodwin revealed how she feels about returning to the ABC show for a reboot.

"I hear these rumors as well (reboot), and I am available if they (want to do that). I mean, I live around the corner from the creator, so I'm sure I'll hear things."

Once Upon a Time is a Disney series that aired from 2011-2018 and revolves around fairy tale characters trapped in a small town with no memory of their true identities due to a curse cast by the Evil Queen. Jennifer Goodwin played the character of Mary Margaret.

"I'd love to go back. My whole life is kind of built around it. I mean, I married Prince Charming. His babies are my babies."

Ginnifer Goodwin met Josh Dallas, who played the role of David Nolan in the show and, married him in 2014. The couple share two children.

"Leaving the show was a really tough decision" Ginnifer Goodwin on leaving Once Upon a Time in Wonderland

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly in July 2023, Ginnifer Goodwin revealed she and her husband Josh Dallas left the show after Season 6, Episode 22 to spend more time with their children.

"Leaving a show was a really tough decision, but one that we spent years making....it involved a lot of discussing child rearing wiht our showrunners because we really wanted to be spending more time with the kids."

The couple were preparing for their eldest son, Oliver Finlay Dallas, 12 to start a school in Dallas. Ginnifer Goodwin added,

"But anyways, we had decided that that was what was best for our family. Though a difficult decision, it was one that we were very confident about."

In February 2024, during a conversation with Collider, Colin O'Donoghue, who played the role of Captain Hook in the series, addressed a possible revival or reboot of the show. Colin believed the "show should definitely go on." Although Colin said it's a call the showrunners, Eddie Kitsis and Adam Horowitz have to take. Colin also said,

"I think what's great about Once is I think that you could kind of come back and just pick up where it left off, or whatever that is."

Colin also said "fairy tales never go out of fashion" and noted that no show with a fairytale setting is running at the moment. The series also had a spinoff which started in 2014, Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, however, it didn't run beyond the first season.
