With plenty of exciting news coming from AMC over the past few weeks, there has been a massive update in Anne Rice's Immortal Universe. The third series in the franchise, which is set for a release in 2025, has cast Nicolas Denton in the leading role. The news comes from AMC's latest press release, which also divulged some exciting details about the upcoming series.
Titled The Talamasca, it will be part of a shared universe containing Interview with the Vampire and Mayfair Witches, both of which have received significant acclaim since their respective premieres.
Apart from Denton, Oscar-nominated John Lee Hancock is also involved in the project. He will serve as a co-showrunner with Mark Lafferty. Both of them will executive produce the series with Mark Johnson. Hancock will also reportedly have direction duties in the series.

What role will Nicolas Denton play in Anne Rice's Immortal Universe series The Talamasca?
Apart from disclosing the new lead for the upcoming drama in the shared Anne Rice's Immortal Universe, AMC has also revealed that Denton will star as Guy Anatole in The Talamasca. The series will focus on a secretive society called The Talamasca. AMC described the series as:
"The six-episode season will focus on the men and women responsible for tracking and containing the witches, vampires, and other creatures scattered around the globe."
Moreover, in the press release, AMC also disclosed details about Denton's character. The character description of Guy Anatole reads:
"He is brilliant, handsome and sharp on the surface, but he’s always known his mind works a little differently. On the cusp of graduating law school, he is approached by a representative of the Talamasca, a secretive agency that monitors and protects us from the supernatural world."
It further continues:
"When Guy learns that the Talamasca has been tracking him since his childhood, he falls headlong into a world of secret agents and immortal beings who, up to now, have maintained a fragile balance with the mortal world. But for that balance to hold, and for Guy to survive, he will have to learn to embrace the dark, treacherous depths of his true and singular self."
The filming for The Talamasca will commence next month in Manchester, England. More details about the show are expected soon, but nothing else has been revealed yet.
Who is Nicolas Denton?
Nicholas Denton is an Australian writer and actor who began his career with the John Kolvenbach play Love Song at the Melbourne Fringe Festival in 2017. After an extensive career on stage, Denton starred in the Australian TV series Glitch and wrote and starred in Not Dark Yet, a short film that premiered at the Melbourne Film Festival.
He made his mark on global television with his role in the television production of Dangerous Liaisons. Now he is set to be a part of the famed Anne Rice's Immortal Universe.
