Boy Meets World star Trina McGee revealed how her adult children reacted to the news of her pregnancy. In an interview with PEOPLE on Monday, June 17, 2024, the actress explained they were taken by surprise after they learned of the news in a Facebook post. She explained,

"I put something on Facebook. I didn't think it was a big deal, and I said, 'I'll call the kids later. They're grown. They have their own lives.' So I speak to them maybe once a week on Sundays, normally. Now, we're speaking a lot more."

She continued,

"Two of them found out through the media, and one of them was really pissed. It was just a matter of a couple of hours of a slip."

Earlier this month, McGee announced she was expecting her first child with her husband of sixteen years, Marcello Thedford, in an Instagram post, writing,

"At the tender age of 54 I have found myself pregnant. Please bless us with your prayers for a safe delivery. Thank you."

The Classmates star is also mother to three children with her former husband, Courtland Davis: Ramia (31), Langston (29), and Ezra (25).

"It jolted us all into really talking"— Trina McGee about her older children

Despite the confusion, the family has made up, and everything is fine now. The actress explained,

"We're all good now. And actually, it jolted us all into really talking and being together."

In her interview, Trina McGee revealed she is still in "shock" about her pregancy, adding that it was "completely natural." In an earlier interview with ET, the 54-year-old explained she and Marcello tried for a child together for a long time, even considering IVF at one point. However, McGee told PEOPLE, she credits her "miracle" pregnacy to a holistic, stress-free lifestyle.

Trina McGee also revealed her husband reacted "so lovingly" to the news and has been a great support. She explained,

"My husband, he reacted so lovingly. He's just been so great. He took me out to see deer yesterday and play in a yard, to just keep me peaceful. We've put a lot of work into our marriage, so I've got a good one."

The actress' Boy Meets World co-stars, Danielle Fishel, Will Friedle, and Rider Strong, shared their love and excitement for the little one. She explained that she informed them a couple of weeks before making the public announcement, and they "wished (her) well."

But the happy news has not just brought her peers and older childern closer, but also her mother and childhood best friend. She added,

"That's what I really love about what babies do. They do have a tendency to bring families together and people who haven't spoken in a while together. That's the beauty of it."

Trina McGee told PEOPLE she does not know the gender of her fourth child and is waiting to learn at the time of birth.
