Fans of the popular science fiction comedy series Resident Alien rejoiced as NBC Universal renewed the show for a fourth season. However, the hit title will now be aired on USA Network, marking its shift from Syfy.
Syfy network aired three seasons of the series, which rose in popularity over the years. The series also received a boost in viewership when Netflix picked up the first two seasons and began streaming it on the platform.

The third season of the sci-fi comedy series premiered on Syfy on February 14, 2024. Resident Alien season 3 has been a massive hit on the network, averaging a total of 3.3 million views, according to Variety.
The shift to USA Network might help the series increase its viewership even more when the fourth season is released. The series is produced by UCP (a division of the Universal Studio Group) in association with Dark Horse Entertainment and Amblin TV.

Resident Alien is a sci-fi comedy television series that follows the story of an alien who crash-lands on Earth. While the alien, portrayed by Alan Tudyk, is on a mission to wipe out Earth, he ends up befriending people in a small Colorado town named Patience.
The alien assumes the identity of a corrupt doctor in the town named Harry Vanderspeigle, after killing him. The series sheds light on how the alien begins forming human emotions involuntarily. He possesses superhuman strength, intelligence, and agility along with shape-shifting abilities. Based on the comic book of the same name by Steve Parkhouse and Peter Hogan, the official logline of the series reads:
“Resident Alien follows a crash-landed alien named Harry whose secret mission is to kill all humans. In addition, Harry struggled to balance business and his personal life when he fell in love for the first time.”
The third season of the show ended on a cliffhanger as it saw Harry being captured by Grey Aliens. He tried to stop an invasion of Grey Aliens on Earth after learning that the Moon was one of their spaceships.
The series also stars Sara Tomko as Asta Twelvetrees, Corey Reynolds as Sheriff Mike Thompson, Alice Wetterlund as D'arcy Bloom, Levi Fiehler as Ben Hawthorne, and Judah Prehn as Max Hawthorne among others.
