Everything we know so far about the Sean "Diddy" Combs docu-series from ID
As things are still in the earliest phase, not much is known about the series. ID announced this series shortly after Combs was indicted on Monday night following a long phase of allegations.
ID described the upcoming series in a press release. It says the series will explore:
"The rise and influence of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and the allegations of violent behavior and illegal activity that have trailed the music mogul. As accounts of se*ual assault, abusive behaviors, and other disturbing claims surface, the doc traces the story of this self-proclaimed Bad Boy, unraveling allegations of a pattern of depravity."
The channel also announced that it will focus on the victims of the rapper and amplify their voices. The press release further stated that the docu-series will give:
"Insight into unfolding allegations against the once untouchable superstar. It will also highlight the toxic power dynamic that played out within the industry and kept many survivors silenced – until now."
Rolling Stone will reportedly provide the archival footage that the show will use to construct Diddy's life till the point where the allegations surfaced.
What are the allegations against Sean "Diddy" Combs?
Sean Combs had multiple allegations against him over the years that stretch beyond s*xual abuse. Allegations against him include kidnapping, drugging, and coercing women into sexual activities, sometimes through the use of firearms and threats of violence.
Casandra Ventura spoke out about this in 2023 when she filed a civil lawsuit against the rapper alleging that he abused, coerced, and assaulted the model throughout their decade-long relationship. The lawsuit also claimed that Combs had destroyed rapper Kid Cudi's car.
Earlier this year, many more allegations surfaced against Combs, which included claims from a woman that she was assaulted by Combs when she was a minor and a hotel video that depicts Combs physically assaulting Cassandra Ventura.
After many more such claims, Diddy was finally arrested on September 16, 2024, from his hotel room in Manhattan. He has pleaded "not guilty" but is being held in federal custody as of now.
More details about the Investigation Discovery docu-series will arrive soon. Stay tuned.
