Lady Gaga to join a host of new faces in Wednesday season 2
Wednesday first debuted on Netflix in 2022, and two years later, a second season with the Addams family's sadistic big sister is coming. Production is underway, and Wednesday season 2 is expected to be released in 2025. Along with the filming update, the second season of the hit Netflix series also has cast updates.
For one, Lady Gaga is reportedly joining Jenna Ortega in the series. Her role in Wednesday season 2 is still unknown, but Variety reported on November 13 that it will possibly be a cameo. The outlet mentioned that the production had tried to get the singer-actress in for a more significant role, but "that ultimately didn't work out."
Besides Gaga, more new faces are expected in season 2. In an October 30 report, the series showrunners Miles Millar and Al Gough told Netflix Tudum about the new cast members of Wednesday season 2. They said:
"Our goal this season was to discover some fresh faces as well as invite some acting legends we've always admired to join Jenna and the Gang at Nevermore."
Joanna Lumley will join the cast as Grandmama, Steve Buscemi is set to play Barry Dort, Billie Piper as Capri, and Thandiwe Newton as Dr. Fairborn. Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor will also be new series regulars, while Christopher Lloyd, Frances O'Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, and Joonas Suotamo will be some of the new guest stars.
