Heidi Klum and her husband Tom Kaulitz are trending on social media after attending the annual Halloween bash at the Hard Rock Hotel in New York City on October 31, 2024.

The couple arrived at the event dressed as E.T., one of the lead characters from Steven Spielberg's film of the same name. Their costume, created by prosthetics expert Mike Marino, featured a glowing fingertip alongside a headpiece, mouth, and eyes that were moving. Klum even added a hat and blonde wig to the outfit.

Furthermore, Heidi shared a lineup of pictures and videos before attending the event through Instagram. One of them also featured Heidi's transformation to wearing the costume.

Before the duo's appearance at the Halloween event, Heidi Klum spoke to People magazine during the opening of Crazy Pizza in New York City around two days ago, saying that she feels anxious whenever she has to reveal her costumes. The model and TV host explained the same and continued:

"Because there is no real trial. Like, I can't do a real fitting before I am in it. Because I never know if it works until the day [of]. And then you know, and then something happens and I'm like, 'Oh god.'"

Additionally, a glimpse of Heidi Klum's costumes was posted by the official account of Pop Base on X. Netizens took to the comments section to share their responses, with one of them praising Heidi by writing:

"She wins Halloween every year."

Similar responses continued below the post.

"The Icon," a user on X wrote.
"Oh she never disappoints," one person reacted.
"Pretty cool," another user reaction stated.

A few users appreciated the way Heidi designed the costume.

"Looks like Heidi Klum took 'phone home' to a whole new level! E.T. never looked so good!" a reaction on X mentioned.
"One of the most realistic/incredible Halloween costumes I've seen this year. Anyone seen any better?" an X user added.
"Don't tell me, someone is really inside that costume," another user stated.

One of the reactions even described Heidi as the "queen of Halloween transformations," followed by another saying that she was "wearing an E.T."

"Heidi Klum's E.T. costume proves once again she's the queen of Halloween transformations," a user on X mentioned.
"She did not dress up as E.T. She is literally wearing an E.T.," one of the users wrote.

Mike Marino's team helped Heidi Klum prepare for the Halloween event

As mentioned, the Desperate Housewives star grabbed a lot of attention for her E.T. costume at the event in New York City. Apart from designing the costume, prosthetics expert Mike Marino assisted Klum in wearing the outfit.

The West Germany native's costume had a headpiece that had to be glued at first. Marino's team then used blow dryers so that it could be easily set. As soon as Heidi entered the costume, Marino's team closed it and added fake skin along with airbrushing until it was completely perfect, as reported by The Independent.

The outlet also noted that the red carpet was prepared above the ground, due to which Heidi Klum's feet as the character from E.T. appeared on top of the floor, making it look more real.

In an interview with The New York Times, Klum shared that she would use an adult diaper since the costume was not easy to remove. She also shared a video on Instagram on November 1, addressing the inspiration behind the costume.

Heidi Klum wrote that E.T. is one of her favorite films, due to which she opted for the outfit, and her plans to prepare the costume started last year. She further stated:

"I know E.T. wanted to go home, but I hope that if the movie took place in 2024 that my favorite extra terrestrial would come to my party instead."

Heidi Klum ended the post by expressing gratitude to Tom Kaulitz, saying that he has been the "best sport" when it comes to wearing a costume on such occasions.
