Slow Horses on Apple TV+ still remains the perfect mix of comedy and drama, four seasons in. The characters haven't evolved, if anything they have devolved further into their ineptitude. And yet, they find themselves in situations where they are called upon to fix things where the finest in law enforcement falls short.

Perhaps the most obnoxious and self-unaware of the Slow Horses is Roddy Ho, played brilliantly by Christopher Chung, a man nothing like him. In an interview with Sportskeeda, Chung discussed the show and its cast members.

The actor spoke about just how only one person in Slough House was like her character in real-life. Chung was all praise for Gary Oldman, who plays Jackson Lamb, the leader of the Slow Horses. Best known for playing Sirius Black in the Harry Potter franchise, Lamb is as filthy-mouthed as he is attired in the series.

Chung mentioned in the interview:

"I can’t imagine anyone else playing that character. But if it was someone else, I don’t think it would be the same product or the same show."

Which of the Slow Horses is most like their character in real life?

Sportskeeda's question to the Slow Horses star stumped him momentarily. That said, he picked Rosalind Eleazar, who plays Louisa Guy in the series, as the actor most like her character:

"Maybe Ros? Ros is like super capable. She’s an extremely capable actress. Like Louisa is one of the only Slow Horses in Slough House that would make it back to The Park. She can handle the job. She just did one mess up and then that was it. She was relegated to Slough House."

In the chaos that exists within the Slow Horses universe, Louisa Guy remains the one voice of reason. Chung said how Gary Oldman too was not unlike his character, except for one significant difference:

"So, I think really Ros. She doesn’t have any kind of loud flaws or anything. You’ve really made me think about that one, Riju. Maybe Gary, but he doesn’t fart obnoxiously. In real life. Thankfully."

When asked about Jackson Lamb's finest moment, Chung mentioned that it's not one of his signature lines dripping in sarcasm that he cherishes. In fact, it's an action that makes him laugh out loud:

"It’s not so much a line as it is an action. And it’s in Season 2 when River comes back to the office after he’s been for an interview. And Gary reaches into the filing cabinet and says – ‘We got you a leaving gift’ (Christopher Chung flips the bird, emulating Gary Oldman). And gives him the finger. It was absolute magic."

Chung did not initially know what to expect when working with a living legend like Oldman. But over time, he's realized what a great man the actor is even when he is off-camera.

The actor was asked, "Did Gary Oldman live up to Christopher Chung's expectation? He replied:

"And Gary does. And far surpasses what you’d want from a leading man and number 1 on the call sheet. He leads from the front and it trickles down to all of us. So he really does set the tone on set for us to be able to do our best work."
