Marlon Wayans and DJ Vlad have been involved in a dispute for some time after the latter revealed something about Wayans' fees during a conversation on The Black Russian Podcast on August 10, 2024. Vlad claimed that Marlon requested a payment of $40,000 alongside 30% of Vlad's revenue to appear in VladTV.

When the clip began trending on different platforms, Marlon Wayans replied with a tweet on August 16 and wrote:

"See I tried to tell him. I was giving him a deal..."

Wayans responded to a tweet shared by Vlad on the same day, saying that no one would agree to pay Marlon Wayans the amount he was asking for.

While the duo continued to target each other through multiple tweets, Marlon's fans took to the comments section of a post shared by Glock Topickz on X to react. One person said:

"Stop giving culture vultures oxygen."

People continued criticizing DJ Vlad in the comments.

"Vlad has a habit of disrespecting people he asked to interview & it didn't go his way", a user wrote.
"Hell I'm surprised Marlon didn't charge him more. Vlad is one of the biggest culture vultures there is so it doesn’t surprise me that he doesn’t know who he’s dealing with regardless of how many views he brings in," another user wrote.
"Who tf does vlad think he is", a third user wrote.

Some also slammed those who have been watching Vlad until now.

"I don't get it – if you don't like his price Vlad why not politely decline and keep it moving?", a user stated.
"Yall still watch Vlad interviews?", another user stated.

Netizens also criticized the way DJ Vlad talks to his guests with some telling him to pay Wayans.

"Sick of that culture vulture. Pay his fee or don't do the interview", a reaction read.
"This isn't surprising? Look at how V conducts himself on social media, interviews etc?", another reaction read.
"It’s always a Palm Colored creature thinking they’re entitled to everything. You asked for the interview then pay the man", a third reaction read.

Marlon Wayans and DJ Vlad are posting tweets referring to each other

Wayans and Vlad have been tweeting ever since the latter said that Marlon won't be paid $40,000 for an interview. In another tweet, Wayans called Vlad "unprofessional."

"If you don't like the number keep it moving. You look bad. You should fall back. Mad at a Black man stating his number? And now you go public and use your platform to try to drag me."

However, DJ Vlad clarified that his claims are yet to be proven right, adding that his interviews cannot "make 5%" of what he was demanding on any platform. Vlad also said that Wayans was weak because he unnecessarily brought the concept of race between their dispute. Wayans replied by writing:

"So yes this has become about race. You trying to turn us into crabs in a barrel. I see your angle now. I watched you play your hand. You want us to talk sh*t, beef or tear each other down while you sit back and make money."

Vlad then added a screenshot, comparing the views of his and Wayans' respective interviews on The Breakfast Club. The screenshot showed that Marlon Wayans' video received more than 200,000 views, and the other had almost 764,000. Vlad wrote that Marlon's career is not in the right position today.

While DJ Vlad claimed that he never hides his face in any interview, Marlon Wayans wrote that it is because he was "ugly" and his beard is not real.

"You look like you're in disguise. Sh*t look like you take it on off like some mr potato's head sh*t."

Vlad replied by calling himself a "heterosexual" and said:

"Between your recent gay photoshoot and your claim to fame dressing up as a woman, this would be the perfect time to fully come out of the closet. Coming out as gay in 2024 will surely revive your declining acting career."

Marlon Wayans then criticized DJ Vlad, claiming that he exploited those who were gay and that Vlad wanted everyone to hate him. A response from Vlad is currently awaited.
