Stranger Things season 5 may be the most anticipated season of any show on the planet right now. Over the past few months, fans have received some interesting updates about the same. It started with Maya Hawke revealing that all eight episodes of Stranger Things season 5 will resemble eight different movies. This was a vision the creators accommodated in the final two episodes of season 4.

However, after a long time, fans finally have a glimpse of Stranger Things season 5, with Netflix dropping a new video. The video is less of a trailer or teaser and more of a behind-the-scenes look. However, it divulges new details and gives a glimpse at the sets, costumes, and setting for the show's final season.

Fans now know that the production is halfway there, and the shooting is slated to wrap up by December of this year. The show is also slated for a 2025 release, perhaps in late 2025. Cast member Noah Schnapp, who plays the role of Will Byers in the show, also claims that it is "going to be the best season yet," in this new video.

Stranger Things season 5 first glimpse takes viewers behind the scenes

In a rather offbeat move, which has been the forte of Stranger Things over the years, the series has revealed a behind-the-scenes trailer for the ongoing production of Stranger Things season 5 instead of a teaser from inside the show.

In the behind-the-scenes production trailer, fans witness the immense sets and costumes for the final season, as well as the testimony of those who are a part of this season.

The video opens with The Duffer brothers revealing that they are halfway through filming as the camera rolls. Then, viewers are taken across the perspectives of the different actors in the show.

Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven in the show, for instance, says that she was 10 when the production started, and now she is going to be 20. This reminded fans of the long journey they have witnessed. Noah Schnapp adds that it is going to be the best season of the show so far.

The video also sees Jamie Campbell Bower claiming that season four was big, but season 5 will outdo it, which in itself is enough reason to be excited.

The proceedings of Stranger Things are usually slower than most shows, mainly because the creators put in a lot of effort and time in writing and bringing the episodes to life. This is something that even Hawke discussed in her latest appearance on Podcrushed. She said:

"Our showrunners, Matt and Ross [Duffer], take a lot of responsibility,...They have an amazing team of writers, but they’re very involved. They write a lot and they are very intense and serious about the quality of the continued writing, and so it takes a long time to write each season, and a long time to shoot them."

The fifth season of the show also has the responsibility of wrapping up a lot of loose ends, which have accumulated over the complex narrative of the past four seasons.

More details, including a teaser or a trailer and release date, are expected to arrive soon for Stranger Things season 5. Stay tuned.
