The fifth episode of The Penguin, titled Homecoming, just premiered on Max and HBO and kicked things off for the second half of the season.
The episode saw Oswald Cobb go after the Maronis as Sofia had taken out the remainder of the Falcone family and tried getting back his Bliss mushrooms from Nadia after she took them following the events of episode 3.

The Penguin episode 5 saw Oswald Cobb go after the Maronis after Sofia took out the rest of the Falcones. With them having his Bliss mushrooms, Oswald threatens to kill Sal's son if his product isn't given to him.
Once Oswald gets the product, he kills Sal's wife and son and pays off a prison guard to stab him as well, but Sal survives the ordeal and escapes prison too.
On the other hand, Sofia takes over the Falcone business. She drops the name Falcone and takes her mother's maiden name, Gigante. She then asks Johnny Vitti to bring her Carmine's stashed cash and shoots him in the head when he does and offers it to the remainder of the Falcone goons to earn their loyalty.
She also seeks out Sal Maroni and proposes an alliance with him while swearing revenge on Oswald.
The Penguin episode 5 ends with Oswald and Victor discovering the underground railroads in Gotham giving them access to the entire city. They decide to make that the base of their operations as they can grow the Bliss mushrooms there easily.
What can fans expect from The Penguin episode 6?
Going forward in the show, fans can expect Oswald to start taking over the city. With him now running his base beneath Gotham, he will try to make a move on the drugs business and become Gotham's biggest crimelord.
However, that will come with its caveats as well due to Sofia Gigante and Sal Maroni gunning for his head.
With him having hurt both of them, they won't be happy to see that Oswald is succeeding, so they are likely to go after him. He will also have his drug business booming, and considering that originally this was Sofia's idea, she certainly won't be happy to see that he has taken this from her.
