In her upcoming memoir, Master of Me: The Secret to Controlling Your Narrative, Keke Palmer shares that a white co-star on Scream Queens made a racist remark, comparing her to Martin Luther King Jr. She refers to the cast member as “Brenda” without revealing their real name.
Keke revealed more details about the incident while speaking to the Los Angeles Times ahead of the release of the book scheduled for November 19, 2024. Keke talked about how she was trying to pacify a situation as “Brenda” was allegedly clashing with another worker on the set, to which her co-star responded by saying:
“Keke, literally, just don’t. Who do you think you are? Martin f---ing Luther King?”
While Keke Palmer kept the name a secret, as the news spread, the netizens promptly reacted and shared their speculations about who the co-star could have been.
An X user, @PopCrave shared the news on their account, and one netizen speculated:
“The way it could be Lea or Emma.”
On the other hand, others poured in their theories and started naming other actors in the movie.
“Or even Abigail Breslin tbh,” wrote one social media user.
“If this wasn’t Emma Roberts, I'll be genuinely shocked,” added another.
“Emma Roberts or Lea Michele are the most likely suspects given their past. Also, not that social media follows mean anything, but Keke follows almost all of her Scream Queens co-stars on Instagram *except* for Lea Michele,” commented another internet user.
“Everyone is saying Lea Michele but this is kinda Emma Roberts coded,” mentioned one X user on the post.
“I'm sorry I can hear Emma Roberts saying this so clearly,” added another.
